stacking spoilers
Just wondering if anyone has added a 91 - 92 high rise on top of their existing 3 piece spoiler? I think it would look cool and still be somewhat functional

Uh you cant really put it on top of the 3 piece spoiler since it slants. I saw a pic on the classifieds a while ago where a guy had a 91 rs and he added the high rise spoiler next to the 3 piece. It didnt really look go at all. jmo though...

Although it was a slightly different spoiler, my brother did this on his Camaro a few (ok about 10) years ago and I think it looks good. The bad thing about his old spoiler was that after the import thing and that one terrible movie came out, his spoiler looked soooooooo import. He has since removed it and gone with a standard 91-92 Z high rise. If you take a die grinder and cut the 91 to fit over the 3-piece in the stock location I think it just may look pretty nice. Of course, then again, it could look like crap too.

Theres a kid that works next to me with a 91 RS that has the three piece spoiler with a base model Firebird spoiler of 1988. Looks like crap.

Speaking of odd spoiler configurations......... today at school I saw the wierdest thing, had to look twice. It was a c5 vette with a fourth gen TA spoiler on it. Anyone seen this before? It looked good and everything, everything lined up but there was just something oddly disturbing about it. Very disturbing.......

Every idiot who's too dumb or too lazy to take off the stock 3 piece did that around here. There were a ton of cars with both spoilers. Looked absolutely terrible.

Yeah, I gotta say that's pretty ridiculous looking.
I know, I know, it's your car, so what you want, and that's all fine and good. If you're set on it, then it doesn't really matter what we think anyway.
Regardless of what country your car comes from, I have no idea what the point of multistage wings are. It looks half-azz. Like you're too lazy to just get one that does the job by itself....
...and speeking of doing its job, you REALLY need to be moving at a pretty good speed to make any real difference. The ZR1 and Z06 don't have wings.

There was a rs running around colorado for awhile a few years back, havent seen it ever again though he had the three piece on but tehn the high rise was actually molded into the stock 3 piece so that the 3 piece actaully was cut into and the pedestals for the tall wing fit into them and then was filled so it looked all on epiece. Gave it a real nice unique look and was done super clean.

I left the 3-piece spoiler on because i was too lazy to do it right, i realized the error in my ways......

I read this post the other day and then I was out and about in Chicago and I saw the most amazing thing. There was this school bus yellow SC like maybe a 88 because it had ground effects. The hood had a lime green scoop. Maybe it was a shaker(It was in the middle of the hood either cut out or bondoed on) but I couldn't tell because I was going to fast. I do know it was ugly. In the back on top of the regular 3 piece was a Wal-Mart fiberglass super ugly wing also painted lime green. Had I not been in shock and in a hurry I would of pulled over and took a camera phone picture for everyone. The worst modification I have ever seen to a thirdgen.

Might look decent if the center section of the 3 piece was left off, a small lip on the hatch molded in and outside "feet" of the highrise notched to fit over the fender pieces.

don't do it! I've seen people driving around with both and it's generally on a beat up car because the person doesn't care to take care of it or do everything needed to change spoilers! 90% of cars with 2 spoilers would only have 1 if the owner wasn't too lazy to do the job right. I'm a firm believer in the one spoiler only rule no matter what kind it is. I also saw a firebird around here with i think the stock pedistal style spoiler on top of the wraparound... it embarrased me as a bird owner!

What I do like on that Blue car is the blacked out turn signals. I wonder how moch lite come thru when you turn them on at nite? I got to look into that for my '92.

I'll be the one to say that it looks so FUGLY to put a high rise over a 3 piece, just take it off and cover the holes, bondo them, anything.
just use tint to darken the turn signals, I have and it look great, plus if a cop pulls you over or them "depending on what state you live in" just peel it off in front of the cop, no ticket. Go home, and in 5 minutes there e-tinted

I would pull em over and give them the standard issue BEAT DOWN. Then kick it off the car. That really does make me upset!

anyone else notice that total customization of the fenders? they are z3 fenders and they arent available for our cars...TRUST ME I KNOW, CUZ I LOOKED...
i like them...
as for the wiing...hmm..cant say i like the whole thing about putting it ontop of the iroc spoiler, as mentioned before, does look half azzed
and the "aero wing" plastic piece at the top of the back window, i like it...i am maybe gonna do it to my iroc...but i still cant justify the price..
