iroc sizing question

This always confuses me, i did a search but im lost. where could i find all the info i need to find all the specs on the iroc wheel sizing, like back spacing, and all that stuff...i was thinking about putting some 18" iroc wheels on a chevy colorado. i was on a colorado forum and they said i needed like a 6" backspacing for them to fit on the truck....where can i find all the info i need on whati need to do to make it fit, or how to convert all this stuff so i can understand

Explains the basics. Most IROC wheels have a 8 inch width with a four inch backspace, or 0 offset, on the rear. Front are 8 inch width with 5 inch +- backspace and 1 inch offset. Not quite enough for the new truck it would seem. Ideal, maybe, for this would be the fourth gen. Camaro or Firebird wheels that do have the six inch backspace, and the late Corvette wheels do to actually, if the bolt patterns are the same.

thx alot, yah i would change the bolt patterns. i didnt know if there was anyway to modify it to make the irocs fit. http://www.iroczdesigns.com/ i just think that those would look so sick on the colorado. If it doesnt work i can always put my black Z06 wheels on it, but i prefer the 18" irocs. that way i still havea lil 3rd gen in me
