My 3rd brake light mod

Did this last weekend on my 92 Z28. What do you all think? Should I have just gone with one or the other, or does both the bowtie and Z28 look ok?

it might look better simpler.... either a bowtie, Z28, IROC-Z, or just Z. Maybe the nose emblem might look good?

Always liked the idea of the light saying/showing something.

Yea, I thought about that after I finished. I may go back over it and black out one of em, just waiting to decide on which one to keep.

If your car is actually a RS, I'd stick with just the bowtie or, as 67 stated, the nose emblem would be rather swank.
Either way.. the execution appears to be quite well done and is a pretty cool change from just having a 3rd brake light. Just my opinion though....

Doh.. didn't even notice that it wasn't a Z. EDIT: unless it's on the "newly aquired 92...Z"

Just curious, what'd you use to make the black action on the light? I'd thought about doing this before, but didn't from lack of ideas that I would want to stay there.

I penciled the design on paper, then applied double sided tape to front of the paper. Remove the brake light assembly, peel the other side of the tape and stick to the glass. Then I cut out the design with an Exacto type blade. Peel off the paper outside of the design so that only the design is left stuck to the glass. Then I just sprayed a few light coats of flat black paint. Flat paint tends to stick better on the glass than gloss. And be sure to clean the area on the glass first. Denatured alcohol or household rubbing alcohol works very well

This particular one is on my 92Z28. I did this to my 91RS, but only with the bowtie.

That requires a for me as I didn't even see that part in your sig. I skipped right past that (may be due to seeing 'Eddie Bauer Expedition' though )
