Who is a fan of the Stealth look?
I am considering getting some ZR1 rims and I like the polished look alot. But i also like the Grand sport rims too that are black with silver lip. The silvers look too plain.
My car is black iroc-z and I am not sure if the black wheels would look good. It may look to dark and make the car look more cheap or not as clean. I have yet to see more than 1 pic of a black camaro with black rims. Done some searches and havent found much. If my car was red, i would do it.
Its the stealth look. On imports it looks decent but cant decide on my car. Not going to be doing this for awhile unless my funds change next summer. LOL I got a motor to wory about first.
So, do you guys like the stealth look? All black? I kinda like it and want to know what you guys think about it. I dont have the power to back up the look tho, but that will chance some day. I know i should do what I feel looks good, but just getting some opinions.

I just checked ebay and saw gunmetal grey Grand sport wheels. I kinda like those too.

If by stealth you mean all black, then I don't like it. I love black on a car, but there is such thing as too much of a good thing. All black cars with black rims, tints, blackouts, and no emblems is too much. Perhaps if it was a black car with black rims with a polished lip, tints, and emblems it would look good, or other combos as well. But everything black is too much for my tastes. Just my opinion though.

I must say black wheels is a bit overdone, but a black on black car with blackouts and limo tint is insanely sweet in my opinion. And I don't use the term "insanely sweet" loosely, I might add. There's one user with a 91 Z and another with an earlier model Camaro done up this way - both look amazing. I'm all for the "stealth look".

I think that you'd like the look of chrome/gunmetal rims on a black car a lot better than black rims. They just off-set the car a lot better, better than on most other colors IMO. The car would still look badass with tint/blackouts, etc, but I agree, black car + black wheels is overkill.

i say go all black. I have been wanting to do this forever!!!. I know EVERYONE hates it but I love the look. My plan is, if ever get around to saving some $$$, buy another camaro and strip it of everthing of color, blackouts on lights, limo timt, plain but nice black wheels, no spolier, flat hood, totally quite exhaust, lowered... you get the idea. but yeah I say go for the black wheels, I think they would look sweet.

I wasnt looking into limo tint. Maybe none at all, or just small tint.
Here are the rims i was thinking off.

Obviously your definition of 'stealth' is different than mine
When I think of a 'stealthy' 3rdgen, I see one that looks almost totally stock, but is obviously not when you dig around in it.
Kinda like mine. When I get a real exhaust system made, it will look totally stock from the outside, and with the exhaust capped, will probably sound stock too. To any average joe on the street, I have a stock '83 Z28 with a 190hp 305 in it. Under the skin though, it has a full 3" exhaust, 350" engine, headers, aftermarket intake and 4bbl, etc etc....
Thats what I think of when I hear 'stealth' in reference to cars.

WOW - now THAT's really f*cked up!!!
Just as I finished typing that last post and reading a bunch of the ones above mine (yea, I'm guilty, I skim lol) something really weird and cool and really weird happened...
The song Paint It Black by the Rolling Stones came on the radio playing beside me, LOL

I'd go with the black/polished lip. Tint the windows, but don't blackout the lights. A triple-black Camaro is just about the baddest-looking thing on the road.

i dont plan on doing lense black outs but maybe the red tail light mod. blackouts look tacky in my opinion. window tint will be kept at a minimal. Not sure which route i am going to take with this. It will be awhile tho, cuz i got more performance mods to do before i get to appearance. LOL
What about silver heritage stripes on ss hood like newer LS1 cars and those black/polished lip ZR1's. That might not look to bad at all. Dont know how well it will blend with the red accents and interior, but should look great!
