Please post pics of your aftermarket wheels and tires!!

I like the look of the ZR-1 wheel, and I know that they make them with the proper backspacing for the 3rd gen f cars but I haven't actually seen any f bodies in my area with them installed. I would like to run a 17x9 or 9 1/2 wide wheel on all corners, but would like to look at some before I make my final decision. Do they even offer the ZR-1 wheel in a 17x9 or 9.5 sizes? Maybe I will run a 275/??/17 all the way around for street duty, and then throw on some Weld Pro Star 15x10 rear and 15x5 front when she goes to the track. Thanks for taking the time to hep me out with this, I really appreciate it. Thanks, Paul Moore

very nice! Any problems with the 275's rubbing? I have heard that with some 'minor' massaging, 315's will fit in the rear. Also, what would be the widest tire I could run in the front without causing fitment issues? Your ride is very nice, thanks for taking the time to post your pics! Paul Moore

No rubbing at all with the 275's and I could have gone bigger. Now, that is only because of the back spacing and such. If my wheel stuck out any farther a 275 would be close to rubbing on the inside fender lip.

17x9 ROH Snypers all the way around. Went with 255/40/R17 up front with 275/40/R17 in the rear. Hey Shifty how big of a tire can we safely go on the rear with these rims?

Just a question - why do a lot of people run 45s in the front and 40s in the rear? It seems like it would be the other way around? Does having the tire at a wider measurement create more side wall? Also, the snypers - they come with backspacing for third gen cars right? Without having to have anything customized?

Hey LBSZ28BLOWN: Those wheels look awesome. Did those need any 'special' fitment issues or spacers or anything? Did you buy them with the correct backspacing for third gen specs, or was the wheel ordered with a different backspacing to allow the 315's to fit? Also, where did you buy them at? Thanks, Paul Moore

285 is as wide as I would run on this rim. That is a lot of meat on a 17x9" rim. A close friend of mine had a 285 on his rear 17x9 10 spoke SS wheels. He has since went back to 275/40 since it looked better and was slightly cheaper.

Louis had to do some custom work, and trust me, he is really good. He had to roll the fenders and get a special offset.

Here is a post that will answer your questions:

Sorry- more Snypers, but different angles. 275/40 rears and fronts are 255/40.

Hold on.....This is a 3rd Gen wheel post right??

Where are those "rare" wheels, I believe they are TT2's or something?

The only reason she is so dirty is becasue I haven't gotten it registered yet and can't drive it.
