i had to go with the smallest 18' tire i could get cause i have like no wheel well left...its almost tuckin 205/50/16 already and that was the closest tire to match the hieght of my 16's

nice wheel, not sure on how it will look but i'm sure it will come together. insanely small tire though. not sure if i like that much, you must have very nice roads as you bend one of those and your out a set of wheels.

i like the fact that someone in this forum dares to put a 215 tire on a 8.5inch wide wheel, although i think a 225 looks best on a 8.5' rim. I wonder how it looks when they are on the car, because i am afraid it will look wrong.

lol...it's daring alright. for a show car and this situation it isn't that big of a deal but a thinwalled tire is going to cause problems on the road plain and simple. if it looks good to you go with it, i'm sure it will turn out nicely.

not many can say they have foose wheels anyhow, wether you got a deal or not that's unique in it's own.

thanks kandiedz ya like i know its not a good idea with skinny side walls...but without air ride thats the skinniest side wall i could go...cause i wanted 18's cause it just fills up the wheel well really nice...but like when these tires ware down ill pick up some 225/25/18 not much bigger but saves the rims abit more

it MAY look worng because the overall diameter of the wheel is smaller than stock

now are you gonna put some big brakes behind them , because i know from experience how stupid big rims with stock brakes looks. do you still have an air dam, your car is so low , i cant believe you still do , if you do can you show me a pic of the distance between the air dam and the ground.

i didn't see anyone being cocky or telling you that it was a bad idea. many like myself who said anything are just trying to help you. i think the new wheels are a 110% improvement over the ones pictured above and it should turn out nicely. just looking at the wheels the fact they don't have a large outer lip will make a difference. many of us who have run larger wheels like that all have had some sort of lip in most cases. a tire that small won't support that sort of thing leading to more expenses down the road.

in the future try not to look so hard to find faults in what people are telling you. it's just the internet after all and different ideas are good ones. as i said i'm sure it will look great, now you just need to get them on the car...

WOW! I love the ride height! Rims in this pic IMHO fit the guzzler better than ones you're talking about in the beginning of this thread. Great skin too, btw

all depends where you measure it from ..like if you measure from any of the ground effects the lowest point is the side skirts right were the iroc emblems were..it sits about 4' off the ground there...and the undercariage your looking around maybe 2.5 for the crossmemeber and oil pan

I suppose those are 18 inchers? Dude, that baby looks just perfect. You know when you see those oversized 20 inchers ppl put just to hide half the wheel somewhere inside the hood, lol. Yours looks Fncking well put together! Wish I had dough to get some cosmetics for mine '88.... your's is '85, it's about 4 inches shorter and half inch lower than an 88 (stock).

Go to hell, they look perfect in proportion to the body. Makes it look like a high speed train or something.

....

That pic by the lake would be sweet if you had the side pieces of the GFX on at that time.

I think the new rims will be sweet.

being pricky and other things is what i always hear when i dont say: "Oh, you are my ***! I aoplogize in advance for my rudeness, but i think there may be a chance that it will look only super and not perfect. No offense, just my thoughts, but i could be wrong as always"
Nevermind, good to see that i am not the only one who thinks that with that combo will goofy. From the back i see skinny tires, from the side i see wheels which are to small.
