Put it in a bin or keep it home VOTE

Well this morning i get up to go to work and on my month old paint has a layer of good frozen frost on top. First night its got to freezing and as much as i hate the idea of putting the car in storage and driving the truck i think i might want to now to protect it from teh elements. Problem is in colorado it is nice half the time during the winter out here so i can still drive it a fair amount. I can get a storage "garage" at the place my dad has his 81 Z28 and elcamino for a little over a hundred bucks a month. IT isnt climate controlled or anythign but it i ssealed up. Or it can sit in the driveway with the snow and elements. SO what do i do. Hoping the storage place will cut us a deal seeing as how i woudl then be paying the storage and insurance so money could get a tad tight seeing as how i'm 19 and dont have big money. Or it could help me because no tpaying for gas on it might help me save up for my headers, roller rockers and manifold, rearend and chip i plan on doing this winter. SO what do i do guys?

Also if i put it in storage would a cover be a decent idea? never liked covers but closed up where it couldnt rub the paitn wouldnt hurt would it? My dads just gets some dust on it nothing major.

Store it, or get a nice cover and keep it in your driveway.

Yea i'm trying to talk to my dad about getting a storage deal for 100 a month since we already have 2 there and tehn having him put his riviera that gets driven none during winter months in it so i can keep mine at home and drive it whenever its nice out without going over having someone drop me off then pull it out.

make the sacrafice like i do, i store mine from about now(the start of hunting season) untill the end of march, drop the insurance down to storage(or just comp, either way) then drive the winter vehicle

use the mony you save from insurance to buy upgrade parts, and the time to work on it(depending on where you store it.)

ive done this for a couple years now, works good for me

Some parts of colorado uses salt and sand like i work on the old lowry air force base and its liek a "new community" they use salt, the city of aurora uses sand but they also spray that mag chloride crap down religiously. Irocbarry i was actually worried about not havign money for parts with the insurance and storage fee but i never though about dropping it down to just comp, problem is i still plan on driving it when it is dry out. My dad shot down teh idea of puttign his riviera in the storage place so i could get the garage but we figure if its gonna be nice for a week i can bring the rs home and throw the fiero which i'll be driving when its nasty in the bin so we free up some parkign at teh house. Talking him into going halfs on teh storage if he's gonna have his car in it to. THne its only 200 a month between 50 bucks for the bin and 150 for insurance which means part
