Check this Camaro out.. !
Ok, as per the detailing board.. I made my car shine.. Ok, well on a literal sense.. Here are some pictures of my RC Camaro. Fully equipped with Park lights, Fog Lights, headlights, and Ground Lights. The car is a modified Losi XXX-4 Offroad buggy. Fitted with a Thirdgen Camaro body from 'Custom Works Products'. The lights are controlled via the transmitter & electronic switch. Car has 6 super bright white LED's for the headlights, reglar LED's for all park lights, three red super Brights for the Brake lights (which do work), and 8 super bright blue LED's for the ground lights. All the LED's are powered by a 9v Battery. (total 25 LED's) Enjoy the pics.. (PS. I drive this thing like it was stollen, so it's getting a rather scuffed up.. )

Well it's simple..
http://www.customworksrc.com/products_bodies.html#
Click on the ASA/IROC Camaro Body.
I made heavy mods to mine for the lighting.. but you can also do it up as a race car ..
I installed shock stoppers in mine to limit the travel and put more tension on the springs.. with the battery pack in it, it sits at almost the right hight for the stock height..
The wheels are the stock Losi touring car. the HPI ones can't be used unfortunatly.. they could fit the back but not the front. I also had to make spacers for the back wheels (using the plastic hex's provided with the touring car rims.)

not sure about everyone else, but I absolutely love it! I'd love to get my hands on one. If I could only save the money for it...
I might even end up just buying the body...just to have. Very cool

that would be great at car shows to have one that matches your own car. I could have fun with that!

irocbirdbuilder- I thought about adding the cowl hood to this rc version.. but since my real camaro doesn't have one I decided not to... and it's sitting a bit high in the picture because the battery pack is not in it.. Appearance wise it looks like my RS.. only the real thing is in a heck of a lot better condition..

Take out the main prop shaft (or belt if it's belt) and the driveshafts and the front box will be fine
Great fun in the wet, just like ours.
Also I know why there isn't more interest in this thread yet- the title just says "check out this camaro" so it sounds like one of all the other threads out there with someone showing his ride... Should have stated "check out my RC Camaro"

Can't make it two whel drive.. it's a single belt for the front and back.. those who have a XXX-4 Buggy will know this too.. Besides who would not want a 4 wheel drive camaro.. loads of fun... Ya I should have put 'Check out this RC Camaro' oh well...

as soon as I get a video of it running.. I'll post it.. I'm sure many will like it.. I was pretty impressed with the speed of it.. I'm running a Trinity P94 14 turn double .. had to do some calculations and comparisons between the buggy gear ratio and the touring car ratios to determine the correct gear for it.. Got it right the first time too.. Eventually I do plan on replacing this body with a new one.. 'for show' this one is getting to scratched up.. But better it than the real camaro..

WOW!!! that is awsome... I have been looking everywhere for a thirdgen body but since bolink has been gone, i coulndt find them anywhere.
Is the body a 200mm or 190? would look great on a tc3... or even better... a rc10nds or onroad rc10gt with bigblock conversion kit with a 4stroke and some monstertruck slicks in the rear... major burnouts...
i love that paint job, mainly the picture of the rear, looks so realistic...
thanks for sharing link...

I think in total I have about 600 Canadian into it.. It's bigger.. it is 270 mm from the center of the rear axle to the center of the front axle. and the width from the outside of the tires is a little less than 250mm. ideal would be about 235mm.. I think it was originally designed around the Touring car conversion kit for the old RC10 offroad buggies.. Not familer with the other models of vehicle you mentioned.. so I don't know..
All the graphics on it. (front & rear lights, plate, etc) are actually scans of the real thing... and printed on semi transparent Avery sticker sheets.

wow, the size is a little wierd. the nds is nitro dual sport, based off of the gt it is just different arms and stuff to make it 200 mm. oh and the tc3 is a 4wd electric touring car from, all from team associated
TEAM ASSOCIATED PAGE
size doesnt matter, if needed i would just cut pieces to make fit or something... still it looks nice...
do you have the printout of decals saved?
edit: the weelbase is the same as the gt... or at least close enough ..... 273.05

That size would be good.. the little extra would be a good idea. my rear wheels are close to the front of the well. and I did have to trim the openings a bit too.. Nice thing is the body doesn't come with anything cut out.. including the wheel wells. Yes I do have a copy of the decals on the HD still.. don't plan on tossing it.
