I like the car. Nice paint and wheel choice. I need to see the car at a few more angles before I can decide on the stance tire wise. Straight on side and rear would be good. I wondered what those wheels would look like on a 3rd gen. I like them they are different that the typical 5 spoke you see.

What eibachs? Sportlines or prokit... How much did you cut off? I see you said you have a 3.5 in drop...

What I dont understand is the complaint about the wheels sitting too far in. If he slapped the stock 16x8's on there it would look the same. When you lower the car it makes the backspacing / offset versus fender really noticable. Even the stock OEM wheels would sit like that, somewhat inset. When I slapped the stock 16x8's on my car at full lock down it looks almost the same as these pics, somewhat inset. So what, even the stock stuff wouldnt be good enough for you guys? To have the wheels flush with the fender you would need custom backspacing/offset. And even then, if they sat flush against the fenders you would be limiting the ammout you can lower the car. The tire thing is not that big of a deal, 225 versus 245. No biggie. I think you guys are just nit-picking and looking for things to "complain" about.
I agree with this as well. In fact that is why I choose to not lower my car any further then I did. I wanted the wheels flush with the body, not inset. Also, our wheel wheels, fender wise, look so wide compared to the height when you really slam the car. For my car, I want a wheel to evenly fill up the wheel well. This and the wide stance limited what I wanted do as far as lowering my car. I may yet go with sportlines, but I have to see what I’m doing wheel and tire wise first.

Every car I have seen that is slammed has to have a wheel tuck like this. It’s the name of the game. W/o bags he is limited to what he can run and still safely turn the car. By looks, from these pics, I would say the tires look a bit narrow for the rim…but not sure how much more meat can go on there w/o scrubbing. The fender well would look more filled out with a bigger diameter tire. W/o seeing the car in person its hard to say…

hey slammed_z just put [*img*]https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/attachment.php?s=&postid=2057205[*/img*] in your sig but without the * in there

You have a cardomain site so...Right click... save the pic... upload it on cardomain. Then click on the pic in you cardomain edit page. Once the big pic comes up...right click on the pic... left click on properties. It will list the address on the pic. Copy and paste that in place of the https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/att...postid=2057205 in the above format... well I guess you already know how to do that off cardomain since you have a cardoamin pic in your sig...

Or save the pic here in TGO in the member rides section. Then do the same thing to get the pics address and put in as the address.

I thought it was just me...I think Cardomain has some new program that is resizing the pics to get them to a smaller MB size...Instead try saving them to the readers ride section. Let that be your display pic. Thats what I did!

How you get there...scroll down to the bottom of this page. You will see the "Contact us" and "thirdgen.org" in blue. Click on thirdgen.org

This takes you to the main page. Look at the menu on the left hand side. You will see the heading "Media" in this you will see "Readers rides"... click it!

Then you will see:
Home | Browse the Rides | View a User's Rides
Search the Rides | Add My Ride | Edit My Rides

If you already added your pics then click on "Edit My Rides ",
if not then click on "Add My Ride"

You will then be forwarded to a section where you put in your car's info and can download pics. Click on Browse and get the pic off your hard drive...then upload the info. Then got back to the Home | Browse the Rides | View a User's Rides
Search the Rides | Add My Ride | Edit My Rides
choices. Select "View a User's Rides "
Select first letter of your user name scroll and select your name. Click on view.
Then you will see your profile and thumbnails of your pics. Click on the pic to enlarge it. Then right click on the pic. Copy the address. Put it in the sig as explained above!

There you go!

Crap need to edit my stuff!

LOOK'S Great

HEY! Slamed z Dont trip on these Guys.
just because your rims cost about 4 times more than all these guys rims thier gonna hate.
Personally i think your rims look great. and i cant stand haveing rims that anyone else has ive allways been ahead of the curve on all my rims on by bird.

And when i got my car painted i posted pics here not saying anything about my rims and all i got were post about nice paint but i dont know what i think about your rims.

I never say anything about all the rims i hate on these guys car's.

So now that thats out of the way.
guys just chill anytime anyone buys rims they have paid a large amount of money on somthing they have probably done alot of research on. So really when all you guys are tallking about somthing dosnt look right and all that.
Your basicaly calling him stupid and that he dosnt know what looks good on HIS own car.
Yes i realize that some of you dont mean for it to sound that way. But you have to realize that somethings no matter how you say them will allways come out wrong.
So back off a little be alittle more suportive of some peoples taste and if you see somthing you dont like just dont say anything to them. or just laugh to yourself.
Any way what kind of drip do you have
on your car i want to put 18's on my bird but i want it to look tucked like yours i dont want to be rideing on skates. So im curious of how much of a drop you have cause i want my cars stance to look like yours.... thanks.

achieving a ride height like that is easy. Cut the springs 'til the car sits on the bump stops, then install wheels which have an overall diameter smaller than stock-finished. And if that's not low enough you can still replace the bumpstops by smaller ones, or remove them completely.
And if that still is suv-ish, install a set of drop spindles (if you find some), they would lower slammed z 's car another 2 inch in the front.

well AudioDEO...basically depends how you wanna do it...first off you will diffently need the ground effects on your car to help it look lower...cause with out the undercariage would sit low but the body wouldnt be....2nd you can either get lowering spring and drop spindals to slam the front..but its hard to find ones for are front end...or you can just cut the coils...just watch how much you cut some it isnt just riding on no suspension at all..i got alil bit it may bang abit if i hit a hard bump..but normally its fine..and you will need to notch the rear end bump stop abit...and you will need a lower profile tire...if you got any questions let me know i should be able to help you out...or you could just get air ride to

There's something about the Ontario city streets thats not right. Kingston, Brockville, Ottawa, Cornwall, they all suck. Definately not lowered friendly.

Slammed, you should come to one of our meets this summer. there's a bunch of us local boys that may swing out to Shannonville, and we go down to Blockhouse in brockville quite a few times in the summer.

I'm near Kemptville. I went to highschool in Brockville.
I'm like an hour or so from Kingston.

You should come to the big Brockville show in the summer. Last time I was there, I was the only "decent" thirdgen at the show, bar none.
