yeah, I think you need a bigger sidewall... the rims are very nice but it looks like you're ridin' around w/out tires... jmo.

i'd have to see it in person... vast improvement over the other wheels but the tire's are what's throwing it off for me. you could have went slightly taller and still should have had room.
either way much better, wish you luck with the potholes if you have them.

Damn dude, I have rubber bands in my desk drawer that are fatter then those tires! Do they ride rough? What width are the wheels? They look like a 7" or 7.5" right?

they are plenty wide enough and the fronts are the perfect width. just wrong tire choice... no big deal. drive it a bit and sell the tires when you can afford the right ones. will imporve the looks 100 fold but it's already in the right direction.

are you sure that's 8.5? not doubting you but this is an 8 with 245/40/18 and it's much closer to the edge. also don't forget i'm running a strut bag up front so i have alot less room then normal.

Yikes. I'd say the tires are too small and the wheels tuck in way too far. To mee it looks like you have the wrong size wheel on the car.

I think it looked better with the other wheels you had on it... And it looked even better than that with the wheels you had before them... The car looks a little too low as well.

ok i still dont know why all you say it looks wrong...i bet i dont like the rims you guys all have probably..this is the style i like..i like big chrome rims...nice paint colours and air ride crazy stereo installs...and as i can tell most of you guys like the factory plain look with a big engine..so i can see why you guys dont like this look.
but to all the ppl who are giving me good feed back thanks alot
and ya kandie they only made the 18 in my bolt pattern in the 8.5 wide
and 84 camaro i love the sig..thanks alot its slick

then it's definately just the tires...no big deal. replace them when you can. just don't take any long road trips from home or you'll be crying when one of those thin wall tires pops and the towtruck scrapes the hell out of your car putting it on a flatbed.

The first part specifically that I think looks "wrong" is the total + offset rim. In my eyes, those rims belong on the Cavy in the background of your first pic.
The second part that I think looks wrong is the skinny tires stretched over the wide rims.
Those two wrongs, don't equal a right, again in my eyes. It looks like someone you knew had some rims, someone else had some spacers, and yet someone else had some tires laying around and they all come together to barely fit your ride. It looks cheap to me, and I'll bet those 18's weren't cheap by any means.
I do like aftermarket rims on these cars, just not barely fitting blingers. Bagged look is cool too, just look at Kandied's car. :hail:

Do you have a picture from behind? (sounds dirty doesnt it!) I think that would shed light on how these wheels actually fit on the car. It looks like they sit in too much. Dont get me wrong. the wheels are nice, its the fitment that I belive is really in question.

hey slammed_z just put [*img*]https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/attachment.php?s=&postid=2057205[*/img*] in your sig but without the * in there
You can't put TGO attachments in IMG tags. You have to send him the actual picture and have it hosted somewhere.
Great car, nice rims, iffy on the stance and tires. But I understand where you're coming from.

Also, FYI, I saw 3 wheels just like yours pretty cheap on Ebay just now. (I think they were your size anyway, I didn't double check)Better go pick them up if you drive on any road with a bump thicker than a nickle. Good luck with those sidewalls! Oi!

Hmmm...those are BLING BLING
That car is slammed...I thought mine was low.
Is it riding on Bags?
I like the overal look...but just not the rims :-/ But to each his own.
Tommy
PS...I don't know if I missed something, but why are you going to run 225 wide tires after these wear out? I would say atleast go with 245 or 255...I think it will give the car a more ummm...'substantial' look.

upgrading from 215 to 225 will not make a day/night difference if you ask me....i have 225/45 18's in front and even if it is the stock diameter the wheel could be a bit bigger, but that would raise the ride height and we all know how that looks.......
I dont think the offset is wrong (the adapters corrected that). I think the FWD wheel offset and stretched tire gives it the illusion of being wrong. Looks close to stock to me. I know for fact that when the car is that low and you want to drive it you dont want the wheel flush with the fenders, and you dont want big tires. The "inset" look (stock look) gives you a little more room under the fender for suspension travel. My front wheel is a 18 but the rest of the specs (width, backspacing, offset) are as close to stock as possible. It looks very similar to his front setup, except I'm running 245/40/18 tires in the front. The car is drivable at supprisingly low heights (static heights). If I put the rear wheels on the front (9.5" with 5.5" BS, 275 tire, fits flush with the fender) I would need to raise the car at least a 1/2 inch in the front to make it drivable. Yeah the 9.5" flush with the fender looks better, but it limits the ride height. I like my car as slammed as possible.

i think he could run a 245/40 with no problem and it would look 100% better. just an opinion though. the rim looks as if it's sitting in the ideal location. still don't see how you drive that thing on the road with out air. what strut/shocks are you running?

i only can do max 225 now that i got the rims on it...like if i stick my hand in the wheel well i can basically stick one finger on top of the tireand in between the fender..its hard to explain on her..but basically i mean its almost tuckin wheel...so basically i only have a small limit to use up front without having rubbing...i only wanna do 225 so it covers abit more of the wheels lip cause it has abit to much of one..i personally think the side wall height is fine...ive used wheel diameter calculator sites and i diffently cant go any bigger of a side wall..cause if i turned my wheel to far drivin i probably would smash up my fender
and nope no bagges for me...i have gabriel shocks in the rear and the front stockys work ok..one day ill get them replaced with better ones..and springs i got eibachs..there cut..but still rides very very well

i forgot to mention im not going for the stock diameter..even my 16's and 15' rims i have had never had the stock diameter...my car was lowered on 225/50/15 so i always made sure all my new rims and tires were the same as that
like my 16's were 205/50/16
and the closest for 18's were 215/35/18

In the 3rd pic, you can see a big space between the mag and tire.
Doesnt look like the tire is leaning against the wheel ...
Really dont like the design , tho if it handles well, and ur heppy, Its all good

I dont know how I drive it without air either. I honestly expect it to bottom out and scrape but it never happens. Kind of trips me out. Even going 70mph on the freeway and hitting bumps or dips, no problems. I used to scrape in those spots with the Eibach Sportlines but its no longer a problem (even though I am so much lower and still using the same struts/shocks). I'm running Koni Reds, weight jacks, 1/2 height springs with higher rates than stock and drop spindles.
