You might try some bug and tar remover, you can get it at any place that sells car stuff. But it's been sitting there a long time, it might have baked on by now.

sounds like you need some deisel (sp?) fuel or some turpintine ( sp? )...LOL..its late i know i cant spell...LOL

and then a really good wax job afterwards....

might want to consider some of those clear stickons for your rear quarters they keep the crap off your car ...works great...

i also heard wd 40 works good too, it is a wonder tool....

bug and tar will work...

deisel or karoscene (sp) should also and gas would too but that is kinda hardsh. i think all these would require a wash n wax after.

pre-clean is a solvent used to remove tar and wax.. It is a degreaser
all body shops have it, and you can get it at any body shop supply store.. it is not "harsh" but it does remove wax, and requires a new coat after.

Had same problem (see sig) i did a few burnouts on that road (nice country road on hot days tar would raise to the top) when i first got my car in like may then finally cleaned it with gasoline like a month ago. works great. just wash (really good) and wax your car after.
