how to clean rust from steel wheels?
i'm looking at set of chrome steel wheels that I want to buy, but their is a little rust on all of them. I like the chrome, and don't want to just sand and paint.

perhaps it will polish out? i had a set of crappy cragars that had rust all along the ridge of the rim. mothers polish removed all the surface rust and they looked 100 times better. have to keep up on them or it'll return though. no real way to fix it other than have them rechromed.

coke and aluminum foil were on myth busters to be the best way to remove rust from chorme, its what i use on my tails and after a nice polish it looks like it came.
