if the blade wasn't working well for your car you aren't using it right or your paint isn't in the proper shape to use it. one of the best tools out there for drying the car.

as far as dishsoap it's ok to use when diluted.... i mix a little in with my car soap when i'm trying to strip any product off the paint. use dishsoap only and it will eat your paint over time.

yeah, i got a T blade and chamois cloth and it makes it real quick to dry.

Problem spots are the Iroc hood louvers. you cant get all the water out of them unless you take it for a spin, taking some corners and then drying it again.

yes and no... it will work better if you strip the wax off. what's 10 extra minutes. i polish my car twice a year although i only drove it maybe 8,000 miles a year for the last few.

no however you'll have to heat it up to make it really work well using some sort of orbital. just becareful and try it in small areas as i haven't used it but if the polish does wonders i'm sure you'll be good.

Ok guys the products arrived today and i tested the polish and scratch remover on the rear fender...keep in mind i haven't removed wax buildup-i went over the square foot section four times with ech product(by hand) and it did not do anything..that's right anything..would i need to go over it several times more and it will start working or should it have already started removing swirls by now??? do i need to apply some pressure for it to work???HELP!!!I've spent thiry bucks on these products!!!

read what i posted.... by hand it will only work on very fine scratches that can be seen in direct sunlight and that's stretching it. you really need to heat the product up by using some sort of wheel. best performed by a professional or at least learned through trial and error on other pieces.

you have the right product, just need to learn to use it... don't give up so easily but also yes you should strip the paint as polish scratches the paint and although your not heating up the wax enough doing this by hand you aren't really fixing the problem.

strip the paint using a diluted mixture of carsoap/water/dishsoap. then put the polish on your paint in a circular motion rubbing it in fairly well. let it dry and then take it off in straight lines with the body of the car depending on what your working on. that area was described above.

if it still doesn't work then you'll need to use a wheel probably. try these techniques on small areas that aren't noticeable first though. to many people start on the roof or hood of their car and then get upset when they do something wrong.

good luck.

I just use The Mist-n-Shine and Shine Master

My paint is fairly new....it's not open to any elements other then dust. I don't even have to wash my car much because I never really drive it and it doesn't get dirty..other than dust. My paint looks great....but...I still can't get away from scratches...I mean..it's black..and I have still yet to see a black car that has no scratches. I use polish all the time...just to maintain the slickness of the paint..and to get the deepest, darkest, shine possible.

Anyhow, it sounds like you will more then likely have to use the wheel. Like Kandied said....you will have to "heat up" the paint in order to get some of those scratches out using some more aggressive compounds. Once that has been done...you can use a polish to maintain it...and to get a nice deep shine out of it.

well even though its dark outside i have some light and followed the procedures kandied described and it is moving in the right direction. the area i have just done -took about 15 minutes, is way more vibrant and the reflection of the paint is way less distorted from the swirls!!It's still got SOME swirls but less.keep in mind i did a quick a half-a** job! I will definantly do the whole car probably on the weekend...taking my time as well...to top it all off..this shine master smells so good(like cherries) i may end up eating it and not have enough for the car!!!

well doing this in 60 degree weather isn't as good as doing it at room temperature. same goes for having the car baking in the sun.

as far as drying time and processes. it can take me anywhere from 2-3 hrs to polish my car and that's rushing. typically it takes me a full workweek to properly wash, polish and protect my paint.

just be patient and learn to use the product right, it works.

wizards sells them although they are expensive they are a very good grade (yes there are different grades).

walmart also carries them in the autodetailing isle. $5for5.

just to get you started.

i use the wizards for my paint and the walmart versions for my wheels, engine bay and underside.

Microfiber. A microfiber Chamios, polishing cloth and applicator pads will help prevent further swirl marks. So will Claying the car before you polish or wax. As it will help to remove contaminants from the paint.
