got a new special buffer

so i was crusing the autobody store and i found the perfect addition to my tool collection. i have a ton of overspray in my engine bay and i needed a way to buf the area after wet sanding. so i found this deal figured why not. i can;t wait to try it. and i bet this would make wheel polishing a snap. my billet boyds will need polishing sooner or latter and this should be the perfect size for those jobs.

figured i would share since it is the first time i have ever seen one like this. anyone ever try one?

heres my bay kinda hard to see but if you look near the hood bumper thingy you can se the over spray, and i think i can buff the lip on the hood and fenders also. i'll post up some results when i try it this week since i have some time off it will be the best time to play around.

Edited nope you can see how bad it looks time for alot of detailing.

yes i think a die grinder is close to 4000. i have a right angle die grinder what a handy tool. havent tried buffing alum with it yet. i seen this and though of rims for it nice size to get in to all the spots.

ur much better off using a clay bar to remove the over spray. wet sanding and buffing is a lot more pain then u need to go through to take care of it.

I would agree with SLP. Even though its a small buffer youre still gonna have problems in the tight areas. Also i can almost guarantee youre gonna catch the pad on a screw or edge or something and ruin your brand new pad. Use a product like 3M swirl mark remover or something like that. You put a little dab on a cloth and by hand remove the overspray. Then just use a hand glaze to make it shine perfect. Followed by a wax.
