what do you think of this hood on the 91's?( i know its been posted 1000 times before, i just wanted to post this pic...looks cool imo)

 

i dont know if its just me but the ram air hoods just dont do it for me, they look to much.....like a nose

 

thought they stoped making the GTA in 90?

looks pretty good i think they look better on a 4th gen t/e but looks decent in that pic

 

looks good at that angle but from the side it can look a little too big. that is a very good example of that hood though as a lot of them I see the hood around the headlight buckets looks uneven. I think the 91-91 looks best with the RAI hood.

I'll have to disagree with most here, and say that looks pretty damned good.

 

i think it makes it look too gaudy. those hoods do not fit the body lines. ive seen them on honda civics too, and they look better on a civic! i dont like them but i have no idea what hood im going to put on my 88 gta........prob a 3-4 in cowl hood.

 

I think it's too big. The RA1 is big enough in my opinion... Looks like the car is leaning towards the passanger side though?

I like the airdams for the twin intercoolers though.

I don't think RA hoods go good at all with the lines of our cars, but for some reason, that shot looks pretty good... most look awful tho

but I think the hoods look better on the 85-90 Trans Ams,


but the RA1 fits the 3rd gens much better,

I, personally, hate these hoods on thirdgens. I think the RA1's look great on 91-92 firbireds and TA's. They actually look alright on the earlier FOrmula's too (like on Zepher's car). But the RAII's lines dont suit a thirdgen whatsoever. it looks like someone taped a big carboard snorkel on a stock hood. just doesnt flow at all. Just my opinion

Comparison..

 

the RAI just flows well with the design of a 91-92, especially when compared to the RAII. on the car it was designed on.........absolutely gorgeous. on a thirdgen it doesn't work.

now for the earlier style i don't think they look right on either as they bodies are too square but it's just an opinion..

 

dont get that hood with a 91-92, if i were you id get the powerbulge and be done with it . heres the ram air 2 on my car. i like it , so buddy if you like it do it and who cares what others think.
