Harwood leaking into cabin.

I have a Harwood cowl hood. The one that looks like the 90-92 Z-28 with a 2 inch cowl. I have found that whenever I drive the car in the rain it leaks water down into the passenger side floor board, at least a cup full. Has anyone else had this problem?

It's not the hood. Sounds like you have other problems. Maybe a leaking gasket or something like that.

I have the same problem. Look in your engine bay...below the blower motor for your interior HVAC. Down underneath it you may find a load of crud that rotted your firewall. I have this problem and every time it rains, there is a pool of water in the floorboard.

If that's not it, then check your heater core.

It is not coolant. It is not oil. It is water, only there when it rains. The heater core works fine. I lose no coolant whatso ever. I have been able to follow down where it is leaking. I will look to see if there is a "rotted" hole in the firewall.

Heater box Gasket? Describe this more please.

I think there is also a flap in the cowl area.If you take the blower motor off(not the entire heater box, yet)stick your hand in & or look in & you will see the cowl area.Directly below is a flap that opens when you run your blower/heater/AC.Air leads from there to a vent right under your dash, just above the floorboards. It too has a gasket or if the flap doesnt close completely.Water could find its way to your floorboard???

Yea i have a 4" harwood and have no probs. I am considering putting the factory hood seal in the back onto the hood somehow to seal teh motor compartment since i get watter puddles sitting right under the hood. I dont wanna drill holes in the hood to attach the seal though

Maybe If I hooked that vacuum line up then it would not leak?
