vinyl stripes, how to clean

How do you guys clean racing stripes? I have black stripes on my camaro and need to know what to use, or better yet, what not to use. Can you wax them?

I would really like to know aswell. All i have heard so far is to use rubbing alchohol but Ill be damned if I am going to do that. ILL end up oxidizing all my paint and leaving a haze over the exterior. but those damn stripes stain so easily. its lame.

What kind of stripes are you talking about specifically?

all pre cut vinyl stripes are the same some may be a little better quality than others but its just a stip of vinly thats like a piece of scotch tape you just lay down and it self adhears (to put it simply, which its not). but I have had my stripes on for like 1.5 years and they look pretty bad. I dont want to rip em off cause they like to take paint with them when they go and I dont have $$ for a paint job.

Zaino is a safe polish for decals, waxes will ruin them.

I am talking about Camaro rally stripes or heritage stripes or "skunk" stripes. Mine are black and they are stained. I would like to remove them completely but if they remove paint....

Has anyone used something to keep these things clean or to clean the stains?
