It's a nice car.
Although I normally would approve of center exhaust mods, a car that has been rebuilt THAT thoroughly just seems cheapened by hacking the bumper like that. I saw it in person. It's not bad by anymeans, but compared to the rest of the car, the cut bumper just doesn't look right.
...but like I said, it's all relative to how nice the rest of the car is.
WAT too much to buy though. It's a nice centerpiece for a business, but it's not how I would spend the money.

I also saw it and got it on video when i went on the power tour 2 years ago. He stayed at the same motel. The car is fairly loud but not extremely loud it sounds real healthy. I have to admit it is one clean *** thirdgen but i wouldnt pay what they are asking even though labor and all the parts on that car would run 30-40k.

They over price everything. Not to mention no way in hell would pay him even half what he is asking. I also hope no one else would either.
How much was a loaded 2000 SS brand new in 2000? That price is rediculous.

I would have to agree on the price as well, a little much IMO. Seems like they are looking to get back everything and then some for what they put into it, excluding labor which I am sure they did most of. But you have to admit, they put it togther nicely. Except, of course that steering wheel in a $25K car? WTF??

I've seen it several times in person and its definately one of the nicests thirgens out there. I'm assuming the price is so high because he doesnt really wanna get rid of it

i think people forget that, this camaro was stripped to its bare *** on a rotissery, every single thing on that car is brand new. its been in magazines and such, i dont know if its ever won awards but its definately a show car.
now would i pay 26k for it? no i dont think i would.. but i think if i was rich and looking for a thirdgen with an LS1 thats been completely restored, not to mention a convertable, then i would buy this car because its by far the nicest.
how much would i pay for it now? about 19k would be the ceiling i would go.
does Fbodymotorsports/thirdgenparts suck *****? yes they do as far as a company, charged me 85$ for a part i bought 1.5 years ago and i never got it/ordered it. no refund either. asses.

I have also seen it in person, it is very nice minus the wheels. I would probably give $20K for it tops.

i belive back then the cats were not hollowed out. i remmeber when they put that thing together, the exhaust thing said "emissions legal and loud" with the cats unmodified it will be a lot quietr. unless they hollowed them originally and thought fooling the EPA was "legal."
Yeah that car is sweet but the asking price is a little too high for me as well. I would expect it to come with some aftermarket wheels, crazy paint, insane sounds, and better suspension setup for that price.

that car has alot of work done to it. complete thirdgen with alot of 4th gen stuff like brakes, drivetrain, seats, and wheels. also has custom interior and the LS1 is not stock. cnc'd heads and cam. should run real good. i think its everybit worth 18grand and if i had the money i would pay 22 for it probly. i seen it and its clean as hell, done up right.

its alright, ive seen it in person. I think the corvette fuel rail covers look retarded though, they should of gotten custom ones made. for that price i dont think its worth it. Never dealt with them Customer Service wise (competitor of the company i work for) but Roy (their owner) has seemed nice the few times ive met him at auction.
maybe 20,000 in parts and other pieces with that car. it's a beautiful car but there were corners cut so to ask more then what's in it or even if that is what he has in it which could be possible i'd say it's closer to a 15,000 car. price it out and look what he started you could do that car for that much if you paid someone so he's certainly asking a bit.
sharp car all the same though.

But $26k...wow.
I wonder how much my car will be worth once I dump a new 383 and a paint job on her!

your paying for the "brand name" so to speak. its the "fbody motorsport car" well known and somewhat prestiguous. thats the only way i can see it being worth that much or being priced that high. sorta like a Lingenfelter corvette or Doug Rippie car. you can build it for somewhat less probly and but its not a
"rippie corvette" or a "lingenfelter". LOL parts wise, possibly 25000 in it.

I dunno about that, it's not like they have a golden name or something. Rather, their name is typically associated with four letter words and the such. Just do a search!
they did have some great deals on hoods at the Carlisle swap meet/ chevy show. i guess if you buy stuff from them on site, they aint so bad.

well they probably purchased the car for 1000-2000 at a salvage auction, the ls1 donor car for 2500-3500 (made money off other parts) plus they are constintly selling parts and probably are able to get a few discounts from places that sell the performance parts. I highly doubt they have anywhere near 15,000 in parts in the car.
Nick...Funny.... I to think that they are sucky people as well...
took over a month to get my stripes and two rear shocks! They forgot to place my order yet the charged me!!!!
They have a ****ty attitude all the time too...I even have been to there shop and they were real COLD...I would never order anything from them again. I wasn going to have them do my motor not now!
