IROC wheels.. specifically ones that were being sold here locally for 100 bucks. Cheap. Only reason I asked for them... everything else was too expensive for just a gift.. that or I didn't really need/want anything. SFC, STB, and a paintjob are about the only things I want for the car... and I don't want to waste given money on buying any of them... doing them myself.. sure

i just asked for misc. performance parts from my parents. my dad knows alot about cars so he'll get me what he thinks i need. im hoping for either a cam, a carb, or new brakes. i need brakes the must but i want a carb the most.

my grandparents already bought my a pair of hedman headers but had to send them back to get them exchanged for shorties, should be getting them back in a couple days

Only thing I got remotely appearance related was a set of stainless brake lines (pretty if you get under the car )... now I'm hoping for a set of SSBC calipers for my birthday next month.

Well what I wanted was not what I got.

Wanted some extrude honing, roller rockers, valve job, and some additional head work. The some mandrel bent exhaust. Top this all off with a new computer system (speed density turbo computer) and a custom chip!

What I thought I might be able to get...some slightly used drag radials...finally

What I got...a busted tranny last Sat morn...

So instead my x-mas present, that lucky I only paid 1/2 of, was a new kick butt high performance tranny! Was completed Thurs night. I got mine rebuilt by Neals racing transmissions (they hold the record for fastest automatic tranny) Got them to gut my v-6 700r4 and build it up. They built it as they would a v-8 700r4 (more clutches and stronger internals). Absolutely can hold 400+ hp all day. Should be able to hold up to 500hp. Beefed up the Trans go kit I had already installed. Swapped out my speedo gears so I should be reading right for my 3.73s. Basically threw all the goodies they would throw at a race 700r4. We are finishing it up on Sun so I should have some stories on how it feels soon!

All for 630 btw...included case of Amzoil, convertor flush, cooler flush, filter, and pan seal! These guys rock!

well dont feel bad man, i didnt get eactly what i wanted this year either.

actually, now that i think of it, my parents didnt get me anything i wanted, the only thing that comes close are minutes for my cell phone. not 1 damn thing car related. and what did my dad get? a brand new ice fishing rod and reel, just what he wanted. what did my mom get? a brand new heavier gold chain for her necklace. both my brothers got what they wanted, 50 million games for my 5 yo brother and my 19 yo brother got a brand new fossil watch all for their main gifts.

for my 'main gift' i got a $35 walmart gift card.

Agreed....I am 21 and still living at home. I have to pay a little rent every month, but it is way cheaper than an apartment cus I dont have all the bills that come with an apartment to pay. Living at home makes it easier to do the things you want to your car
