Your floor pan looks excley like the drivers side in my 92rs.Its a easy fix but im sure you already know that .The guy i bought my car off of bouhgt it new and threw the floor mats in the garbage. The body of my car is bearly rust free but the floors need work because the dumb**** took the floor mats out and all the water over the years rotted through.

sad... you ought to be happy. that thing is a wreck and not worth the effort. if it was rare or held some history in your life that is one thing to go through the trouble but there are to many clean cars that will be cheaper to buy then to fix that thing.

strip it and crush it..

if your starting with a very clean/solid car then i'd say it could easily be done if you aren't working and have a helping hand. i took my last car apart and redid it in 2 weeks but we had alot of people working on it.

like i told you take the rs as it's in much better shape then where your at. i don't know where you'll find a car clean enough to finish in 2-3 months without spending at least a grand or more here in michigan. i'll keep an eye out.

this is how the bay looks as it sits as you would get it. minus the fenders of course but it's all straight and good.

.. the problem is their are two spots the size of softballs on the underside that would need to be reworked and it needs a new passenger quarter as that's rusted from the inside out. your going to have a tough time finding something that is all complete unfortunately and free though. i'll take some pics of the floor tomorrow for you. it is no where near as bad as yours though and if you took the parts that are good off of yours which seems like some then you could make it work.

I really dont see what the big deal is here.I mean floor pans and a few patches in the rockers is nothing. You could weld sloppyer then spaghetti and it wont matter you never see that stuff.Me on the other hadn decided to take a closer look at my 92 and the guy i bought it off of did a real good job with bondo i put a magnet on my 1.4 panel and it wouldent stick.I found a rust free 1984 z28 that I may swap all my parts onto.

i can get some the passenger quarter is out of comission.. it was rusted and had a small dent, we sort of took care of that and really messed it up as it wasn't able to be saved anyhow.
