Other Options for A/C Delete Boxes???
are there any other GM models that use the same standard heater box as the 82-92 fbodies??
i know a lot of people want to do the ac delete and the camaro/firebird boxes are sort of hard to find.

Nope, no other modles have a swappable box. But... from what I have heard, you can take a box out of a S-10 and bolt it up, and with a little fab work, make it futional for the f-body. Someone on here posted pics of it but not sure how well it works.

the fans are interchangable from one non-ac to another. i put one in my car from an old 70 something fullsized pickup truck.

well thanks 66nova. i know it would be tough to make a spacer but having the ability ot grab any fab from a GM non a/c car makes it easy.

actually it`s not that hard to make a spacer.i did it to my 88 .i got some cheap hard foam sheets from the arts and crafts section at wal-mart,only 33 cents a piece it took me i think about 6 sheets to make a proper spacer .it holds up pretty well, but the one thing i did have to get was a new blower wheel from autozone ,it was only ten bucks so it`s a pretty cheap and easy swap.i also got lucky and found a non- a/c box from the junk yard for 15 bucks check it out inthe pic.

wow $15 is a nice find. none of my junkyards have any non a/c cars!!! but one thing i did dig up was using some thick double sided adhesive foam to use. one member used the heavy duty closed cell foam that was 1" think and double sided sticky and huge said its held up for almost a year now.
