Like Billet ones or something? Or for racing? Go do some searches on the internet for the manufacturers of different types of steeringwheels and check em all out. There is a pretty large selection to choose from. Some manufacturers off the top of my head: Grant, Momo, Trenz, Billet Specialties, thats all for now hahaha. Maybe start with a search here for 'steering wheel".

Grant also makes a removable steering wheel for added security. If i didnt have the airbag in my 92, i would go for that one.

Does anyone know what the legalities would be with an insurance company if you got in a wreck and you had removed your airbag? I'd really like to put one of those carbon fiber wheels in my 92.

well i dont know for sure but there is some consequences if you take the airbag and dont tell them (like myself ). because they more than lilely have you down for a car with an airbag and that lowers the price slightly. im willing to bet if something did happen and they had to cover personal injury (you) they would fight it because they thought you had an airbag.

which carbon fiber wheel were you referring to? i wanna see it.

if you want a thick grip stock looking wheel then the best I can tell you is to find a C4 vette wheels and get it to fit your column. Then make a different horn buttom with a bowtie or plain emblem instead of the corvette emblem. my budy had a 91vette and the wheel in there was thicker then a stock leather wrapped iroc wheel. if you cant find that then the wheel I have comes in all black as well.

I have the Grant Carbon Fiber wheel and I failed inspection due to its size. If you live in Jersey, buy the 14" version. The description says the wheel I have is 13", but it is not exactly 13". I swear, the guys at the inspection station took more than 20min to inspect my car that day. Needless to say, I have not gone back in well over 3 years! lol If you guys wanted to know, the wheel is not real carbon fiber, it is printed on there, but looks real enough. Pretty nice wheel. Came with the car 7 years ago when I bought it.

yea i noticed a huge differnce when i went to my much smaller d shaped wheel, still the steering isnt too hard and the look is defenitly worth it.

Bottled...how difficult was it to install those gauges, looks amazing!!!

CamarosRUS, the gauges did take alittle time to install. THe wiring was the most difficult. I had to come up with a dual plug setup so I could remove it if i needed to.

P-I-M-P^^ Not my style, but it works for me. Keep the gauges black, IMO it looks better. Looks like a lot of work went into it. And yeah, that wheel is nice. My daily driver came stock with a MOMO wheel.

the stock one does look nice, very nice actually but i got paid about $50 to put my aftermarket wheel on and my wheel now just goes better with my whole interior.

My Formula didn't have one on it when i bought it i didn't know it was supposed too (90 was the first year the f-bodies got the airbag) in case you didn't notice the sarcasm: I removed the ugly bulky looking original airbag wheel

I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'trick', but, if it is high-tech race ready products you're looking for then here are some rather cool products. And no, I'm not suggesting for a second that your average thirdgen owner would require these - just showing the really 'trick' options that are available for road-race cars with stripped interiors.

I went with the MOMO "tuner", mostly for the clean styling and tasteful looks. The other ones shown in this thread are cool, but wouldn't look right in my car (or most cars on here)..
