I'm guessing his frame is screwed, it'd be a miracle if it wasn't.

Sorry about your car man. I guess the bright side is that you're ok.

Hey I never said I wanted anything off it.. But things like engine and drivetrain components, at the right price, well then I may be interested, and it doesnt matter if that stuff came from a camro or a bird..

I agree with parting it out. I would buy it back from the insurance company. Even if it costs you 500 or so you should be able to make up your cost with ease.

damn that sucks

least ur not hurt and ur getting money back also...

id definently hold on to the Iroc and part it out or take the whole front apart and check the structural damage and if nothing else part it out and make a good profit.

That was a sweet ride

the worst thing is the day the wreck happend... earlyer my RONAL R-15's came (ploished w/ gold insertes) we are sending them back w/ a 20% restocking fee so i am out $230 there...

also i was in the prosses of ordering a tranny rebuild w/ TCI shift kit, TCI 2400RPM stall and 342 gears and a new posi and nittos for the IROC wheels. we were planing to see 14.20's at the track, so i am canciling all of that

Damn Jeep drivers think they own the road lol. Specially in the snow 4x4 owners think they can do anything.

but since it has been gone my friends (who were never too thrilled about the car) are admitting that my IROC is one of the cleanest third gens they have seen where we live. also they were saying that it was fast, cuz most third gens around here were dogs and beat to he*l.

thanks for your kind words... i had no clue anyone even knew my car on these boards...

listening to what some of you have said i looked for some 3rd gens and i have my heart set on a manual shift car (whitch is a rare find on a fuel injected 3rd gen) and i found a:
1988 IROC-Z, 305 TPI, T-5 tranny, T-Tops, 79000 miles... needs paint, it is Burgundy w/ black and gold interior.

$2950 some time next week i hope to drive it...

Good luck with whatever car you choose.
4th gens have thier pros and cons
Pros, great power and drivetrain, modern insterior.
Cons, engine bay, visibilty.

That 305TPI 5 speed sounds like a great deal.

Sorry to hear about your car Tim, it was almost quite identical to mine. The positive thing about all this is you are ok, and the insurance is going give you some money back. Dude, if you want to go 4th gen, then go ahead some of them are nice cars. Good luck on your next purchase bro....

Ouch! That really bites! I cannot imagine how I'd be if that happened to my car. So sorry for your loss.
BTW - Did you get "declared value" coverage?? It covers your *** when you've got money rolled into a car like ours.

What gets to me is seeing pics like that then looking at mine and going damn...it could happen. You always fear it adn hopefully it'll never come when you have to say goodbye to such a gorgeous ride on such bad terms.

I must say for being a stock looking thirdgen, and everyone knows i hate stock lookign stuff it was clean man.

MAkes me glad mine only sees dry sunny days now

shaved antenna, custom clear lights, removed molding, removed driprails, custom paint.

I get people asking me if its a special edition since it has a taller spoiler than stock...mostly when i go to dealer for parts i get rookie sales guys telling me its a special edition to look like a iroc race car, like no guys i bought that spoiler aftermarket
