I hear ya brotha, everyone REALLY know that the hood isn't functional if the "opening" isn't blacked out or something similar. The Stinger hood is a very cool hood though, I had one on my old 84 Z28...91-92 Z28 clone...

Where did everyone get there BB hoods from? Cause today i got mine from Hawks and i just gota say it just DOESNT look right in the box (its not on yet) it looks really really CHEAP.

It IS functional, as a cowl.
Personally I would like the look of the center being cut out ONLY if the hood was flat right in front of the opening. This is not the case. If someone was to cut out the middle with that hump on the hood being there, it would look like *** IMO.
I think it looks fine in certain colors. As far as it being functional or not, whoever has a prob. with it not being functional can race me and see how functional it is.
