be sure to keep new bearings in stock, because they will die after all that kicking and beating

I change wheels quite often (either to drift or clean up the wheel), so I dont ever seem to have this problem. But this is some good info to know if I ever do run into this problem. I did have a lugnut strip once, ended up having to drill out the stud. That sucked.

Drill out the stud? Why didn't you just hammer it out the back?

It was stripped on the pass side front wheel (16x8 IROC) with the rim still on the car.

Dude this is the lamest thing i think ive ever heard of. Is your time worth it? Just trash the wheel and buy a brand new one. Your time is much more valuable.
Here is an idea. Wrap a tow rope around the rim real good. Then connect the metal part to a car with a tow hitch. Leave the lug nuts on but leave enough room for the rim to break free. Then tell your friend in the other car to go... close your eyes and watch him yank the freak out of your wheel. It will pop loose for sure. Either that or it will tear your differential out. Have fun!

snap on makes a great prying tool. the tool prys on the caliper and the inside of the wheel. i belive its called a crows foot. ive never had to use a big hammer, torch , or even penetrating oil. i just stick that tool on there and with some leverage the wheel pops right off. if you could borrow it from a shop or rent one, this would be the solution to getting your wheels off.

You need to get about a 6' long 4x4 and wack them off, by using wood it is less likely you will damage the rim/tires. Be sure to leave at least 1 lug nut on each rim to keep them from flying off the car. They don't have to be tight, just on at least 3 or 4 threads. As already mentioned this happens very often with aluminum wheels that have not been removed in a very long time. Rule of thumb to go along with all this. NEVER SEIZE....

a block of wood and a sledge wont loosen them? try jacking the car up, put the lug nuts on loose, then let the car down as fast as you can a few times and see if that helps.

rent a thing called a porta power it's a hydralic cylinder you pump it like a grease gun . put it on the tire and the wide base against anything solid behind it. this will get them off and spray an entire can of wd40 into it, around the lugs alot in the center where the cap goes. i change forklift and heavy equipment tires for a living. i do that all the time. my nephews iroc was the same way. aluminum bonds to steel better than you would think , hope you get them off soon

how about wrapping a chain around it, hook on a come along with the other end around a post or a tree or a '55 Chrysler and ratchet until the wheel comes off or the cable breaks.

Sounds to me like your not trying hard enough... maybe its just me though.

We use a 40lb sleder hammer at work to get stuck dualie rims off all the time, and yes they are literally stuck from being tightened on the inside and exposed to all the elments because of their design. My suggestion is put all the lug nuts back on, loosely lower the car so the wheel is off the ground, but not by much, maybe a finger and a half. Then go hit up your hardware store, find the biggest sledge hammer they have, goto the liquir store, buy a 24 pack, go home, lie down and get your angles right so you can lie there, run the sledge against your driveway or garage floor into the wheel, do that for 20 mins, drink a beer, do it again for 2 mns drink a beer, by the time ur case is half empty you should have it if you were hitting ti hard enough. Don't forget after every hit or every 2 hits in one spot, rotate 90 degrees and hit again.

lol and after half a case you'll be tossing the sledge through the sheet metal..

I used to work at a tire store too.. and from the advice I've heard and from what you said you've tried, I can't believe they havn't come off.. I havn't seen a rim I couldn't get off yet.

Yah exactly, we've had some tough tires, as we are one of the only shops around here that does RVs, Dualies, Truck tires, eevrything just about, and we have never had more then 10 minutes of hittng to get the wheel off.

So you pulled the lugnuts off, right? All five? And not the plastic lug covers, the actual lugnuts?

This was stated before, but loosen all the lugnuts a couple threads, soak it in PB Blaster, then go in reverse to about 20MPH then just slam on the brakes FAST. Then go forward to about 20 MPH and SLAM on the brakes. Then jack it up, and give it a try again. If that doesnt help, keep the bolts a couple threads loose and back into a curb (within a reasonable speed obviously)

But if you loosen too far off as soon as that wheel breaks loose its going to snap a stud and then you will be fixing more ****.

You took the rear end off? No wonder it isnt working. You need the whole car attached so when you nail it with a hammer it actually stays put and forces the rim off.

When you just have the rear end off, the whole thing can move, therefor not using full force, which is why your wheel aint coming off.

BUt I have a solution

roll that out into the middle of the road, hook one wheel up to a buddies truck, hook the other up to another truck, then go SLOW, you dont wanna snap ****, once there is no play, just keep them crawling forward, eventually one will snap, then quickyl slam on the brakes as those lugnuts are still there, unless you take them off.

If you dont got 2 trucks, attach one side to a tree, the other to a truck, same method.

If you dont got any trucks, call your local tow truck and see if he can come give you a hand

Take off the rear end cover, and remove the axles with the wheels attached.

Then replace the axles.

If you want to use the rims, cut the axles off the rim.

I had my 4th gen wheels get stuck once, but that was my fault cause I knew they were going on too tight when I put them on....the inside of the wheel was a little too small for the hub.

the BFH on the inside of the tire took care of it in my case.

get the biggers sledge hammer u can find/buy. tie the rear end down so it wont move. take all the lug nuts off the rims. hit it at full force until u cant swing no more. if no luck, have some1 heat it up wit acell. torch. keep hittin it as u SLOWLY heat it up. or if u can get he axel out, heat the back side and then try hammering it off

Try this.. loosen the lugs and drive over some tall speed bumps.or do some donuts in a parking lot with the lugs loosened.
