Who thinks i should put GFX on my Camaro?
i have an 87 camaro sport coupe LT and i always thought i wanted ground effects, but now i'm not sure. Here are some pictures of my Camaro So what do you think? i'm putting a 350 in it before long and probably getting a cowl hood, i was thinking about making it a fake Z28 but i now i don't know. also, what size cowl hood do you think would look best?
Edit: the GFX i would be putting on are from an '85 Z28

No. I honestly think buying a Camaro with GFX is more practical because there are so many available. Sport Coupes look fantastic when built right, especially considering they're the only thirdgens that can really look great as "muscle cars," and it looks like yours is well on track. I'd just get a good rust-free 85-90 Z28 shell and build off of it. It would probably cost less than buying new GFX.
It's your car though.

I'd leave the gfx off but I think the car would look good either way. Just depends on if you want the muscle car look or the sports car/pro touring look.

if it came as a sport coupe...keep it as a sport coupe. Although...you can still modify it to even look better....

all of us SC lovers should meet up sometime and take a bunch of group shots. i think that would be really cool. i am going to be up in the columbus, OH area in Sept/Oct. time frame for an NSCA race up there. would ya'll be willing to get together? come out and race! www.nsca-racing.com for a class that you might fit in. look in EFI and American Muscle for rules that most of us can follow! i will racing American Muscle.

Sport Coupes, done properly, mean business.
Leave the gfx off.
Nothing like ppl thinkin you have an underpowered lil 6 under the hood
But then again, that's just my humble observation.
Fastest car i rode in was an 83 berli, now that powerplant is in a stingray.

Yes, back on topic.
And just a reminder, the word filters are there for a reason. Intentionally substituting other characters to avoid them is a violation of the rules.
As usual, if you have comments and questions PM me.

Go with GFX
I've loved the look of Fbody's even before I knew they were Fbody cars, back when I was like 8 and just thought they looked cool. By and far, I think the cars with GFX look bigger and more muscle-carish, while cars without them look more sporty. I think it's all in what you want from your car. Good luck to ya!

non gfx look "muscle-carish" to me, while the gfx'd ones look more modern, or sporty.
Guess it's just all in the combination someones running...
Just me though,
