damned cats (wrong forum?)
sorry if this is the wrong forum.. but how do you guys keep cats off you car??
I'm almost ready to resort shoot my own cats with a paintball gun until they learn not to sleep on my car, or crawl inside and sleep in the hatch/back seat, etc...
any suggestions?

Put the cats under your tires? ummmm electrify the hole car?
or you should just park in the garage and roll the windows up,
but give them a brake they just probly find it nice to sit in such a nice car you should be happy
but id sell them and buy a dog, at least they let you know when someones by your car

paw prints I don't mind.. they can be cleaned off.. But when the dang cat gets spooked.. it's the freekin claw marks on black paint that drive me up the wall. The previous paint on the car there where claw scratches all over the place.. As much as I'd like to agree with you about shootin the cats with a paint ball gun.. 1. don't hit the car. and 2. better hope the cat doesn't use it's claws when it runs..

start by rolling the windows up, then they can't get in. as far as the outside, i don't know, my cats walk on my car too, but they only do it when i just cleaned it or when it rains and they walk in the mud first. what i hate is the damn birds, shiit all over my car, but ONLY within like the first day after i clean it, and if it stays for too long it ruins the paint.

i got a story about friggin cats on cars. i was sellin a part off my parts car and had to go out at like 10 at night to take a pic of the part. it was nice out (summer) and my iroc was outside. anyway i took the pic and then i heard this weird sound. now it being so dark out i couldnt c a damn thing so i used the cameras flash to c. there was a damn cat pukin on my hood. i was pissed i washed the car that night. that cat is lucky it got away cause if i caught it i wouldnt be liable for my actions. i have a pic of it from when i used the flash to c, i gotta c if i can find it.

Speaking of cats and coolant, I had the same problem until for some odd reason, my Firebird began to leak a saucer full of antifreeze every night, I guess cats don't like the smell or something because they never came back...

Yes it is the wrong forum
The last time this subject came up we had an Animal killers VS. Tree huggers fight
And it was stupid
In truth if you can kill an animal with out an ounce of remorse...........then you are really not someone I would feel comfortable being around
Im not a hippie by the way but that is a sign of degraded conscience and for the most part it just gets worse
In the end I hate cats that walk on my car I reiterate the HATE part, I throw rocks and yell at them.
But it would bother me to actually kill one of them
Now could a moderator lock this before I get flamed

Image removed- If you want to host your cat pics elsewhere and post them, maybe this would stay. But no sense using TGO space for it.

if you knew whos cat it was go after the owners to keep them off your property and if they leave cratch marks take them to court for a new paint job!!! Or if theres a real problem with strays call the cat dog catchers...... cats shouldnt be strays get them homes or put them somewhere.
Where i live now i had a cat walking on my hood and i told my landlords who live upstairs that i wasnt happy with the cats and it seems its probably the one from next door. If it happens more often this summer im going to go talk to them. Worth a shot...... shooting at the cats wont help at all theyll probly come back. And im sure your not ganna shot it while its on the car itself so shotting it while its not even on the car is crule and the cat doesnt know why its getting shot, and your not solving anything.
Maybe you could spray orange juice or sumptin on the hood.....I think cats hate orange smell.... maybe you can use the orange clean products on your car. I think they sell cat-repelant for things like screens and stuff for your home.

Someone told me to put pepper(Hotter is better) on the ground where the cat walks to get on the car. Then when the cat licks its paws BAM!!!! Smash it with a club!

well the problem is that I have, er let me rephrase this, my wife has three cats. It is always our own cats that are on our vehicles.. all of them. I am going to be getting my thirdgen painted soon and I want them to learn to stay the heck off the vehicles! I've been after the cats since day one to stay off the vehicles and I yell and chase them, however my old lady doesn't see them problem and doesn't give them **** so they must think its ok.. I"m going to look into some sort of repellant that I can put on the vehicles when they're parked, then take them off when I leave. till then, I'll just have to catch them with a paintball gun

not sure about other states but i know in michigan people dont technically 'own' cats, so you can do whatever you want to them. If you have a dog you have to go get it 'registered' and get tags for them and sheit like that, but cats, nope, they're just there.
cat repellent? lol
