Thats pretty cool. That is what I was going to do until I found a mint condition heater box to put there instead.

Yup, same here. The heater box is shaped much differently than the A/C box, it free's up alot of space. Enough so I can mount my MSD iginition and coil on the firewall.

i took the whole unit out, i super glued the panel on (cleaner look) then i sprayed it all down with a primer and gloss black then bolted it back together. thats my secret.
