I got the car painted last fall, but I'm just now getting around to posting the pics of it.

Here's a link to a thread from a few years ago with it in its orginal glory.

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=135696

And here (hopefully) are some new pics of it. It took me forever to decide what color to paint it, but I settled on this.

Thanks man. I've still got to add some 17" Polished IROC's with the centers painted in gunmetal and will probably paint the taillights red, but that's it for the outside.

I've also managed to replace the 305 TBI for a brand spakin' new 350. I haven't had it dynoed yet, but it should be around 350 HP and 400+ lb/ft.

Pepper Gray Metallic w/ semi-gloss black trim and headlight sockets. It's the same paint code used on Eleanor in the newer "Gone in 60 Seconds." It's a really neat color, because under low light, it almost looks pewter, but when the sun hits it, it turns to a "sebring silver" type color.

My goal is to keep the car rather stock looking. I'm not changing the hood or the wheels or anything that doesn't appear stock. Even my cat-back is a Dynomax that looks just like the stock set-up and isn't very loud at all. It's just my beautiful, suttle sleeper.

Every light on there except for the tails, are new. I also replaced any GFX panel that was cracked or messed up in some way too. . . and the passenger side fender was replaced. It had slid into a curb while on ice back when the former driver had had it, but it wasn't anything major, so they just pulled the fender out, but it had these little crinks in it along the well lip that just drove me insane, so I replaced that as well.

You probably don't want to know.

And $2,000 was the hit. . . and that's with a color change, sanding it down, replacing the fender and a few other GFX pieces, jamming it out and repainting the trim.

No it's been raining all day and supposed to do so most of the week, but I'll get her a good bath and post some pics for yall. I'm just happy that alot of people seem to like it. It took about 2 years and 2 different theaters of operations worth of planning and saving for me to get her to where she is now, but I'm almost there.

Where in GA are you, Gunny? I grew up around Ft. Gordon. Folks are still there.

Oh.., I don't know what to say about your car that hasn't already been said but that color is pretty special to me. I really think that color rocks.

Yeah, hopefully I'll be there again. . . what are the dates this year?

I was hoping to have the wheels on and the interior done by that time, but other things came up. Engine pics can be found in the TBI forum. Just search for threads started by me.

Time aint the issue, it's money.

I was looking at getting 17" polished IROCs w/ BFG KDW tires, and I still need headliner. ($1400 for the wheels and tires and ?$?$ for the top)

I had all new buttons for the interior, but now I can't find them. I lost them when I moved.

Sorry to bring this post back from the dead... but I cant help but wonder if you've gotten pics of the car in the daylight yet?

The contrast between that color really lets chrome become more "naturally" added to the car w/o looking weird since there's no chrome trim or anything.

I also love how the color shows off the contours of your car, espescially the 91-92 ground effects.
