Heritage Stripe kit w/blisters foof

So i purchased the $240 1992 Z28 Heritage Stripe kit from Classic Industries i've always wanted for my 91z. Now that i have the kit in front of me, i see there are no provisions made for the blisters on the hood, and after researching it.. I can't just take them off because the hood is not flush underneath. A detail guy who does striping told me it would be a disaster to try to go over or under them because the thin vinyl would just tear off with the curves.

First off did the 92z not come with blisters or did they really make this 'factory' kit for the RS version and not advertise is correctly?

If i can't return it i'm open for suggestions on how to make it work. I'm thinking maybe i can:

remove the blisters and have the holes filled in flush and put the stripes right over the flat surface
OR
cut holes in the stripe kit where the blister indents are and attempt to install the stripes like that with the blisters off and have the blisters painted to match then reinstalled on top.
OR
give up.

Thoughts?

Ok..I had a little to much to drink tonight while we went out to eat! LoL

Let me make sure I understand you right! You want to know how to install your stripes.

Take off the flippen hood blisters...

Clean your hood good...

Cut the excess masking tape...

Test fit them with the do not peel the tape at t his point...

Get a spray bottle mix dish soak and water...

Start with one side spray the hood area with the soap...

peel the sticker off one stripe spray it as well...

apply the stripe...push out all the water with the squgee.

once set get out all bubbles and water with the squigee leave masking tape on until it is dry about 2 hours.

once completly dry squgee again and peel off masking tape slowly.

use a fine pin to remove all bubbles. poke on the side of the bubble. squgee it out the air.

repeat for other stripe

you have to use a razor blade and cut where the blisters sink down. dont do the trimming until the sticker is dry and you have removed the masking tape. squgee all the flat areas around where it sinks for the blister then like i said when its done leave about an inch on the inside. cut like a square in the center of t he blister.

its very easy!!!

Thats how the stickers come!!! Heres my 91

Cool, that's exactly what i was looking for! do you have any pics from the top of your hood? Also, about how much did you pay to have the blisters painted to match? Lastly, i know i can't wax the stripes when i'm done, is there any protectant i should put on them?

Thanks!
