Ive got a couple q's about stripes---->

I just got a new paint job(bright metallic blue) on my 85 bird.Ive always wanted racing stripes on my first car(im only 16.)So what color stripes would look good on bright blue.White is what i was leaning towards.Also, how many inches apart should i paint them.I want to go with 10" stripes.For the last question,can i paint them myself.I was going to cean the area good,prime, and then take some car spray paint and put about two or three coats on there.
Oh yeah,Should i go on the hood all the way back are what?Any suggestions?
Sorry, i know its long...

Just got mine painted monterey metallic marroon with pearl white racing stripes. Theyre 10 inches, and i believe its an 8 unch gap. Id have to double check though. The pearl white looks great with the metallic. I would really recommend doing the pearl over flat white. Even just a little bit gives it a metallic look to match the rest of the car. Heres a picture of my car, but the car was dirty, and the digital camera sucks so it looks like ****...ill try to get a good picture soon

Dude, Josh, I love your ride. I'm not big on maroon but damn that's sharp. I think you got the stripes just right, i'm thinkin of gettin some on mine in with blue pearl on silver (it's metallic navy blue) when i put on ground effects
anyway, Sweet_85_Bird i'd go with the white under pearl look too, i think it'd look sweet with that color.

Thanks 86z, When i get some good pictures of it when its clean and everything ill post them. Heres another picture i had thats shows the stripes from the front. The reason it looks purple is from the stupid camera though.

I got mine from edecals.com. I was thinking of painting them on, but once there one,
there on forever. There a decal and you just put them on like your putting on a sticker
(not that simple though). This way if you dont like them now or later on, all you have to do is peel them off. Id suggest this especially since you have a new paint job. I would hate to see you make a simple mistake and mess up the new paint.

I posted a pic of my car below. I dont really like them on the hood. I think it makes it look kinda *****. But if you get the vinyl decals like I have, put them on and if you dont like it just take them off.
