Check it out! launch pic from the dragstrip last night!

i was looking for a better pic, but this one is the best yet that i've seen. this was launched at 1800rpm instead of 2400rpm and i'm using the new m/t drag radials. shortly after the launch, the car fell on it's face when i killed the distributer.

well, i haven't gotten many passes to say what i normally 60' but it has been 1.82 and was has consistantly done 1.9's but i know that it has consistant 1.7's in it once i get the car figured out. the dizzy wasn't the only problem, the carb is giving me problems as well. it's frustrating. especially since i have to drive the car home tomorrow. for some reason, i am fouling plugs. nothing i have done so far has done anything really. i hurt a dizzy drive gear and i put a new msd iron one on and put a new cap and rotor. the plugs were trashed so i put new ones in, even though the ones i pulled were only 2 weeks old. the plug wires are brand new accell 8mm super stock wires. i'm beginning to wonder if the coil is going bad. the carb has been gone through and i can't seem to find anything wrong with it. it's beyond me.

anyway, that pass i went a 14.93@76ish or something like that. i was in and outta the throttle the whole way cause it was poppin' and bangin' the whole way down. i made one more pass and it was even worse. ran like a 17 something at 52 mph.

car has it in it to run 13.3's once i get the bugs fixed.

That is cool that the place does that for people who run there. Do they have times for the cars as well or just the pics? I would be curious to know what poeple ran. That is a nice launch there for a 15sec time.

hehe, that launch was good for a mid 13 second pass, it didn't fall on it's face till about 60-100 feet out. and atlanta dragway does not take the pictures. the NSCA was having an event and the people that do pictures for the nsca was there on friday takin' pics of test-n-tune. just the pics, no times were posted.
