Anyone try those Mothers Bird/Bug/Tar Wipes??

I'm interested in getting these things but i checked 2 stores near me (walmart and autozone) and they didn't have them, and every place that has them online charges over $5 shipping for them (when the wipes themselves cost $6). Is there any other store that does carry these that i can drive to to get, or is there a place online that sells them w/ free shipping??

And are they even worth it, like could i use something else instead?? I really liek the idea of being able to clean up bird **** and bug splats the second i see them with something that is safe for the paint.

EDIT: On another note, not worthy of a whole new topic... i was just putting rain-x on the front and rear windows and i had applied it to a paper towel to put it on, and a few times i rubbed the paper towel on the paint (to absorb some water that was lying on the body)...and i am just wondering if that will cause any damage to the paint. on the back of the RAIN-X label is says for it not to come into contact with painted surfaces and i know the rain-x was just on the paper towel and only a very small amount probably touched the body but still i am paranoid and wonder if there is anything i should worry about.

Well you'll find out sooner or later. lol. I've seen those wipes too, and I don't like the way they look. They've gotta scratch your paint. Wiping away something like bird doo or tree sap without rinsing it away doesn't sound to safe to me. But I could be wrong...

I don't like the wipes at all, mother's or mequiars ..

just carry a bottle of Mequiars quik detailer spray (or Mother's Showtime Instant detailer spray) with you and a couple of microfiber towels ..that way you can give a quick, safe clean up to anything like that .. bird crap, bugs, etc.

alrite i guess i'll avoid getting those...

I'm insanely paranoid about this rain-x thing though.... i mean i'm sure only a little bit got onto the paint and they were probably already 1-2 layers of wax on the places it got on, but still i'm worried!!!!!!!!!!!!

no dont worry about it its pretty much just oil u put on it. RainX is just oil in a bottle that you wipe on your windows so the water doesnt stick to it. Just no water will stick to that spot on the paint now.
