Blue Magic on Iroc Wheels?

I have Saturday planned out as being a full detail day: wash, claybar (first time), wash, wax, vacuum, wipe upholstery, and possibly getting some more shine out of my wheels.

My question is this, would the blue magic polishing compound harm my wheels at all? I haven't heard anyone say they have used it on their wheels. The label says it should be fine for chrome and aluminum wheels-which Iroc wheels are if I'm correct. But I was also thinking if I remember correctly that Irocs also have paint on them and I'm not sure if this would harm it. So, maybe just polish the spokes? A big thank you for any advice you guys could give me .

Even the aluminum on the spokes will have clearcoat on them (unless someone previously removed it). So technically the blue magic won't do anything to them

Ohhh neat its my turn too be nice today, so I will be :-)

Due to unforseen circumstances on my TTA is suffered a locked caliper on subsequent fire on the frt drvr brake/rim/tire. I had to put out a hot fire(duh) with a fire extinquisher on the rim basically)pad was flaming and lines melting, fun stuff)

Anyhow got it all fixed and parked the car, didnt even get 50 mile son the new combo last year lol

Anyhows, I got it home this week and detailed it, I spent about 2 hrs on the rims total. First I used soap and water and then a rim cleaner(clearcoat safe) and then more soap and water.

The hard gritty burnt brake dust wouldnt come off. For the next 1/2-1hr I literally used Blue Magic to scrub the chrome/clearcoat clean and take off the burnt on pad residue.

I have used Blue Magic for nearly 10 yrs and it cleans well when u have nasty stuff on the rim with a little work. My rims look as new as they can possibly be considering they are 16 yrs old and already have some clear coat peeling and curb damge(lite), it wasnt from me(prior owner). It works great and lasts along time. Worst thing about it is getting the damned blue out of the crevices when your done lol

List of cars I used it on:

87 Cutlass with alum. cragars
87 442 w/ rally three's
91 Formula w/ gta rims
91gta w/ gta rims(duh lol)
and 89 TTA w/ gta rims(duh again)

Its got my vote long story short

later
Jeremy

"I guess for some reason you feel you are entitled to or we owe you a response within 10 hours? "

No, I get irratated when the only thing people reply to is post with "pics of my car" in this forum. My thread would probably be on almost the very bottom if I did't post that remark.

"you could also have used the search feature since has been discussed a lot of times."

Used it and found nothing, maybe you can show me how?

Thank you 3.8 and tuned port for actually answering my question instead of posting about my manners .

Ya no offense but not many people are going to look at this thread as one that contains pictures. Just think how many people would like to see some nice pictures that may give them some ideas, everyone wants to see pictures once in a while. Now how many people want to comment or hear about Blue Magic, alot of people here have new wheels and the others already have there wheels cleaned up. I'm just saying wheel cleaning isnt that hot of a subject. Maybe I will try it on my old 5-spokes though, maybe if I get some money I will mount some slicks on my old 15's.

I see what your saying, but my point is that most people on this board seem to automatically dismiss a thread that doesn't contain "pictures" in the title. It doesn't matter how hot a subject is unless your a person who just follows the crowd and try to do things like everyone else, (not saying you personally but people in general).

or perhaps read the bottle and see if it was ok to use. Most will say what kind of wheels not to use it on. But I doubt it will help much with the clear coat being on there.

The original post says I read the label, my question was if it would harm anything since the wheels are painted/clearcoated. I ended using it anyway, made a little difference but I probably wont be doing it too often, maybe like twice a year.

sorry, missed that part. Now if you decide to one day polish the wheels (stripping the clear and sanding away), then yeah that stuff will help TONS
