Guess who wrecked today! :( Me!! Camaro slid and hit a guardrail at 50mph

this happened about an hour ago from this post, ya around 6am
some kids decided to try and bike to the other side of the road
what ****ing kids bike on a rainy Tuesday at 6am in the freckling morning anyways?!?
it was either hitting the kids biking in the middle of my lane or swerve to the left side of the lane and hit some ford and clip one of the kids in the process or take the right and hit the guardrail guess witch one i picked it all happen to fast
and all this for bag of groceries

the bushs before the guardrail saved her some what, that and i tryed to pull out of the best i could....
i drove about a half a mile on the flat
then when i got home siting in the camaro just before i got out i thot it was going to be really bad! but its really not and thank ***! but all have to look closer sometime today

It looks like you got off pretty decent. When your post said you hit a guard rail, I expected to see the whole side of your car wiped out.

Next time though, hit the kid. They're softer.

The topic sounded like the damage was going to be really bad. Probably got a little lucky. ShiftyCapone (mod on TBI) slid into a guardrail, but his damage was much worse than yours. His pics are on his Cardomain site, just take a look at those and you'll probably feel alittle better.

Seems like another "accident" you have some involement in here:

I hope it's just some misunderstanding or something. I hate seeing stuff like that happen.

thats luck ... i parted out a firebird a few months ago hit a guardrail at 50-60 and there was only an interior left of the car. don't feel bad i hit a f150 at 40 mph and drove right under it and then got hit in the back. so you made out real good. .....always hit the kids they will heal.

Hey Shifty, no problem man! How's the hunt going for body panels?

NFS - I think you'll be alright, you seem pretty resourceful, but you'll probably need a new tire for sure. The paint and body don't seem terrible, but its going to need fixin. Again, sucks man, your car was pretty sweet, you'll get it back to new. Good luck

yeah, those guard rails can be a bitch, my friend got his license the other day, and the first day he had it he wrecked his bimmer (and got his spoiled *** in trouble) cost him 3000 bucks to repair, much worse that yours. Sorry for my rambling, just consider yourself lucky.

ouch dude. I was coming out of any alley one winter morning, and an old lady in a 90s buick park avenue came flying into the alley (one way alley, I was going the right way), and I had to drive my firebird into a snowbank to prevent running into the old hag.

He told me about the wreck and such, but I don't know about the initials though? Care to elaborate? I see your from Dayton, did you go to UD as well?

Man, all these horrible incidents involving thirdgens makes me remember why I barely drive mine...

Yea, I go to UD and will graduate in December. We were working on his car and our buddy "B" took his key and scratched a "B$" in the fender. Shifty looked at it in a sarcastic supprised look and was like "How did B's inital get on my fender?" then I think he took a ratchet, bashed it into the fender and said "oops." The joys of working on busted cars.

i hate kids... The other day, as i was starting up my baby, these kids are walking down the street, kicking a footbal back and fourt to each other (punting)....BAM!! Hits my drivers door. I was out so fast screaming about shoving that ball in certain uncomfortable cavities that i didnt even realize there wasnt any damage. I havent seen them since.... I swear to ***, if that happens after i get it painted, im gonna go off the handle - I dont have a garage, just gonna get a good car cover (no other options besides build a garage).....

Well, I'm glad you picked the guardrail over the kids, or you'd be writing this from jail right now.

What was the speed limit on the road vs how fast you were going? was it around a bend?

You could have really got screwed over it. Lesson learned. Fix car and live another day.

IF you were going 50 mph then you got off pretty easy. Nothing to serious, I mean you had more damage when you backed into the garage going 3 mph.

So much for the "good" side of the car. I guess all we will see for a while is pictures of the front end of the car. Might be easier to see them on the computer instread of in my review mirror like usual.
