GTA polished wheels...
My friend is trying to talk me into striping the gold off my GTA wheels and polishing them out so there all chrome looking. Has anyone done this, if so does it look weird with chrome wheels with gold emblems. Pics would be great, thanks.

That would be a helluva challenge to polish the center,, since it's rough cast aluminum. You would have to sand or grind them smoother then polish them. I personally don't think it would look that good,, but who knows,, I'd have to see it b 4 I could say.
Good luck if you decide to do it though.

Well youre in luck. I just bought 4 brand new GTA rims for my 1990 Trans Am, and I didnt have the money to polish them (or powdercoat I think its called) so I went to Home Depot and bought some nice silver spray paint for maybe $8 and painted them About 5 months later they are just starting to crack, hard to notice. Making them as good as new is as easy as another $8 can of spray paint.

People think I had them professionally done when they see them.
