The boyd dictators would be the better.
But if you wanted something that would actually look good unlike either of those, look at the boyd rebel's ironic isnt it ?

Ive seen the Rebels on 4th gens and they look great imo. Dont care for those Boyds too much, so i would go with rebels.

Z06 wheels look good. Pro star Xps look okay too, but i prefer those in 15". I still think the Rebels would look good

Popular hot rodding put those rebel ones on one of the build up's they're doing right now called " Project g/28".
They just recently came out with an 18" version of the ZR1's

I have yet to see a single person with them but I think the design of theses wheel's are classic. They'll never get old. I'm even thinking about getting them for my IROC. I already have a set on my Formula (though not in that big a size)
I think these wheels look awesome, whether their on a Firebird or a Camaro. 18's would look killer.

I would go with the boyds because they have a better quality wheel. The boyd wheel is machined from billet and the rebel is a cast wheel. The rebel will be extremely heavy and won't be as crisp as the boyd.

when you get up to 18's, can you really ask yourself "how can I save on weight?", my boyds are heavier than hell, I could only imagine what cast wheels would feel like

The (Chrome) Rebel is my favorite aftermarket wheel, so it gets my vote! It says "muscle car" and would look great on a (lowered) thirdgen, IMO.
I fell in love with the Rebel months ago, but I'm not in the market for wheels for my current car. But if/when I have the time and space for a project car, 17" Rebels will definitely be on it!!!
But the Rebel has a +25mm offset and a 6" backspace, so it'll require spacers. 1 1/4" spacers would probably be as large as you'd want for that "good look."
But I have to admit, Shifty's right about the Rebel's aluminum quality not being perfect. AR needs to spend more time polishing the aluminum before they chrome it. It's a wide, deep rim with a lot of visible surface area, so the chrome finish tends to highlight its imperfections. But it's nothing serious and wouldn't stop me from getting it.

I like the rebels...they have more of a modern look that matches our cars better than the dictators IMO...

Someone can't seem to make up their mind, first it was 2 choices then ballooning into many
. I have seen all of Boyd's wheels on cars in various sizes and I believe the best series is the Forgeline. The other series which the dictator are in have traditional hot rod style looks that appear more old style than new. I have seen the Rebels and I don't like them even though they are a simple 5 spoke, I just dont like the way ends of bolts are at edge of spokes, looks unfinished to me.
I do not like the ZR-1s or Z06 much because they don't have much of a lip to them, I think thirdgens look much better with a decent lip. Although are exceptions. This is how id rank the wheels in terms of looks on your car
Z06
Genesis
Dictator
ZR-1
Rebel

im sick of seeing zr1's, z06's, TT2's etc on our cars. they all look amazing but talk about unoriginal. the rebels IMO look awesome. a classic 5 spoke and to be honest im probably going to get them when i get this motor done. yes they are heavy im sure but you shouldnt be racing on them anyway, get a set of different wheels for the track. and for street driving the weight wont matter. but if you can afford to get billet wheels, i dont really like any of the billet wheels posted on this thread but there is a ton billet wheel manufacturers to choose from.
FYI heres a link to the rebels.....shows the different sizes and spacing. im defenitly getting 18x9 up front and 18x10 out back http://www.americanracing.com/wheels...lloy§ion=A

Anyone see the Boyds 'Timeless 5' those look hot- when it's time for wheels.... I think they will be it - Start a trend
Oh yeah, I agree most of bodys designs are only cool on hot rods, but I think the timeless looks like an improved 'Sniper' plus has the right stepped lip.
I also agree with the rest - the rebel looks better over the other choices $.02

i like the rebel better. especially how the center part of hte wheel goes toward the back of the wheel. I think that kind of design makes the lip stand out more.

Neither really get my attention.
If I really had to choose, I'd choose not to get either one!

Well, since the thread is revived, and you still haven't bought rims yet, I'd go with the Rebels. Those look really good IMO. Unless you have new choices, in which case, please post pics of them.
