idea for front turn signals
idea for front turn signals
Hey, i was sitting in school today bored and thinging of things for my car and thought of an idea and wanted to tell it to yall to see what you think. Right now i dont' have an iroc anymore i have a 91 RS, is red with 25th anniversary stripes, but anyway you know that spray tint that you can use like on fog lights and stuff like that. Well i was thing about putting a chevy symbol on my front turnsignals than spraying them with that tint stuff, than after that pulling the chevy thing off. Than it would be black with tint but have a clear chevy symbol in the middle. I have black outs on the back and figured some black on the front would look nice. What do yall think? I know all that might of sounded confusing hope you understand what im saying.
In theory it sounds kickass...
How about in Practice

Do it on some spare parts first

I think you'd want to two tone it just plain under the sticker would stand out tooooo much
I'd spray the whole thing lightly then wait for dry then apply the sticker then spray again

There is a white IROC around here w/ white chevy logos on the parking light blackouts. I think it looks phat myself.

How about this, do it on the back side, but spray the whole thing with the tint, then when that dries, put the bowtie mask in the center, and spray the rest with black spray paint. What do you think?

I did that on my 92 RS about a year ago and have recieved many compliments. I got a Bowtie pack from Advance and put one on each of my parking lights and then I masked off the interior of the bowtie and sprayed over it with a gloss black paint. You can still see thru the paint but the center of the bowtie is bright. Yeah, do it! It looks great and is a real attention getter. Good luck! I am working on an idea involving the front grille. I will keep y'all posted.
