Some factory gold wheels would really set it off.

Reminds me of my old 83 Louvers and all...

The louver debate is never ending...I think they look good. In my opinion it takes a certain car to look good. Like alot of people I think they look better on black cars, and they only look good on early third gens. The later years just don't look right with the GFX and all. I think the louvers give it more of a classic look.

I hate my wheels! Every third gen I see in my area, and in general really, have these damn wheels!! That is really the only thing I don't like about my car. It makes my car look like all the other third gens out there, I'd like something different. I'd really like to get the Turbocast rims but people want rediculous amounts for them and I refuse to pay it. Until they come down in price or I get lucky and find a set for cheap I'll have to pass. I've thought about painting the rims I have now gold and black like on the Recaro's I believe...at least that will be somewhat different

I thought about the GTA rims also, but haven't really decided. They are cool, but I would like a more classic look...damn turbocasts!

I think you're right about the louvers looking very out of place on a later thirdgen (like mine). On yours they fit in a little better, but I still think it looks best without them but to each their own

I had the same wheel dilemma too...for your car something modern would be way out of place, as you said you want to keep a classic look... some 85-87 IROCs would work nicely (though overdone), personally I like the GTA idea...I think it's classic enough to work on your car, not to mention that gold ones would match the car!

Oh, BTW...don't get turbocasts! Those things are SO ugly...but worst of all, you'll be just like everyone else with an early thirdgen who does the "Knight Rider" thing...

I agree those turbo cast wheels are expensive.

But I think the Gold 15" N24 turbo finned rims(Came mostly on the 83 t/a) would look real nice on that car.Oh and I can get some incase your interested

I don't think the turbocasts are ugly...but you would think that since most other people do you could get them cheap because they don't want them. As for looking like other "Knight Rider" cars I don't think so. I have never seen a third gen with the turbocast wheels, in person, nor have I seen a KITT conversion, in person. So even if people think they are ugly, at least I'll be "different" even if stock is different

I thought maybe the old "turbocast" rims from the '80-'81 Turbo Trans Am's might be cool. I'm not much into the snowflakes

I'd like to say how nice it is to see another GREAT looking "Early Bird"

Very Nice

Louvers= , but it's your choice.

Wheels, I have always liked the wheels you have on there now, but argee with others in that the gold GTAs would look killer!!

"Black is Beautiful"

Leon.

1982TA, that is one sexy car.... I love the louvres.... I got a set now, but i'm not sure if i'll be putting them on, as I have the rear wiper, and I don't think I can have both...

When I repaint my car, I was thinking all black, as I don't want the hassle of the the two tone....

But boy, otherwise, that's about what I want my car to look like!

Rebelracer, actually I ended up with 2nd gen snowflake wheels, 15x8", I like 'em, 'specially with the 275/60's out back
