I think that's starting to drift too much into the orange spectrum, a color that went away in the early 70's (a place it should stay IMO).

However, if you have the means, see if you can find a color called "coral red." It's absolutely awesome!

i think he should do something a little more extreme. That color is just too close to his old color.

I would definitely go for the kandy tangerine like on that C5. That color looks great especially in the sun.

 

SOM sucks, it looks good in the sun, but terrible in lower light conditions....


i have many test panels with different candy oranges Jeff. They all look nice, but im scared to go with such a bright color. We'll see, car should be done this winter

 

That color is not very man like. It would kinda look like a chick's car.

i have candy tangerine on my 83 z it looks great and i think i am one of the first to have the color.

 

that's great pat, i may be picking up another 91 z within the week. i'm going to need drivers now for all these damn cars.

that ws6 TA was in GM High Tech if i remember...i dunno i seem to remember a tangerine 4th gen TA on the cover...damn it looked so sweet...i love this color

i love the kandy red but both are hot colors... just needs to match the overall theme of the car, from suspension components to under the hood and the interior

that vette color looks identical to their older version. the gto looks a bit to dirty in person. i like the properties that a candy color brings personally. still both nice colors though.

 

I worked on a cavalier today that was about that color. It was a cool color...but at certain angle..it really didn't look to appealing. I like the Lazer Blue that come out on the Chevy Equinox, there is tons of pearl in that paint. It would be cool like to see that color on a third gen.

Anyhow, I think the color of your 91 really tops it off. I guess I couldn't picture it any other color. A photoshop would help

 

I was sooo close to painting my car oh so orange by ppg, but i didnt like how hard it flopped green, after seeing that picture i wish i would have stuck with it, cuz thats hot, but i went with another PPG Vibrance color because I figured it would be less common.

 

i kinda like this shade myself.... but its a daily driver, so i need to stick to a simple basecoat/clearcoat... i cant afford all of that cool candy crap, no matter how much i want it.. lol.

 

I was worried about that a little 2 until I saw it on a car and now I am so excited to see it when I get it back from paint... I like it because its a nice color and there are currently no thirdgens in my area that have an oh so orange camaro, and the painter that i am using says if someone comes to him with a thirdgen and wants it that color he will not do it. I thought it was cool that he wont produce another car that looks like mine

 

They have that color on the Impalas too don't they? I worked on one the other day with that color, and I loved it.

This is almost identical to what color my car will be when it's finished. I have one pic but it was taken with a camera phone and you can't tell the color hardly at all. Mine's actually a mix of two PPG Colors....
