Hey I bought a beat up bowtie grill, so I have to repaint it. My car is midnight blue with silver stripes. Would body colored grill with silver bowtie look better than black grill with silver bowtie? what do you guys think?

mine is body colored.... and i love it.. the car is black! hehehehe

i feel black is only way the grille should be. it looks the best

 

I side that. No matter what colour you have it always looks better with the black grill.

I dunno... I like the anniversary editions in white with the white grill and red stripes. Post on the photoshop board.

 

I like when it matches the car on the new ones.

But for the 3rd gen, im not 100% sure because i never seen how it looks when it matches

I think it really depend on the paintjob quality and color. Post a pic of your car if you don't mind.

Body Color!! Looks alot smoother, unless your going with some kind of black theme to the car

 

I think on dark colors, body color isn't bad, although I still prefer black. On lighter colors I think black is almost essential.

 

I've got body color, sometimes i've thought of changing it to black with a silver bowtie... still undecided though.

 

Also, if you go with a black grill, I would go with the black headlight buckets as well. If your buckets are already black, then deffinitely get the black grill.

 

Yeah that's the thing. Sorry I don't have pics of it yet, but it just got a HUGE makeover so I can't wait to post pics. Anyways, it's midnight bluish green, with silver heritage style stripes. So that's the thing, I definitely don't want black headlight buckets with the silver stripes, it would just throw it off. I know I want the bowtie silver.
Thing is, with the exception of my black door handles, the whole car is midnight/silver, but for some reason I'm still leaning towards black. Just by looking at other cars. But yeah, if it wasn't for the stripes, no question, I'd have black headlight pockets and grill without a doubt
