this is my car...some of u prolly saw my old post from when i 1st got it about 2 weeks ago..but..it was nice out 2 day and i washed and waxed it. took forever because i had some caked on dirt. the car sat for about 4 yrs before i got it. still kinda smells like dead bugs inside,lol...and i got some hood louvers for now. off of a friends 86 z28 hes fixing up. since its not running he gave em 2 me because he may not need em and he doesnt need em right now so i guess they arent technically mine. im looking for a grille and fog lights for this is anyones selling them!

 

Black IROC's are just mean lookin. Nice car, get some new turn signal lamps while your at it.

looks good, but what is up with the louvers are they broken?

and id suggest after the grille/foglights some new parking lights as they really do improve the look over the car my old ones looked just like urs.

 

in about a week ill have some hooker super comps replacing that stock exhaust. the cats goin 2, the thing rattles so bad....it also will idle bad and smell terrible when i 1st start it when its warm....yeah..thatll pass nj inspection..

 

get a new 91-92 z28 grill...those look the best on black cars!

 

yeah i didnt have any at all when i got it since the hoods new. its aftermarket...notice the bad gap? its due to where its got this wierd bulge in it there. the guy that had the car gutted the airbox so ive got no airfilter (dont worry..im not drivin it 2 much and he didnt drive it at all, he just repaired the hood and fender, a building fell on it, lol...ive found the glass in the car from the windshield) im bidding on an air box on ebay...after that ill be modding that bulge part of the hood undernieth. its just molded funny...but yeah..those louvers are broken on the one side...better than nothing..especially when it rains!

nice car right?....the kids been beating the hell out of it. everytime i see it, its being floored or hes burning out. he called me a few days ago because he blew out a tire. THE TIRES I PUT ON 300 MILES AGO!!!!! he wanted the wheel lock..i gave it 2 him i didnt have it..but yeah it pisses me off because it was a nice lookin car. ran good 2. it was the 1st car i REALLY worked on and got me into wanting to be a mechanic. now some kid beats it relentlessly. even dumber..its only a 3.1 v6. granted i loved the car but it wasnt fast. they werent ment 2 be.

im never letting this one go!

 

i sold a car that i had built with a vortec headed 357 and a 6spd.....sold in 2 years ago labor day and then i saw this car for sale and i had to have it....what are the odds of finding a car the same year/color/interior/motor...only thing different was the trans being an auto...no biggie because its damn fast for what is done to it....14.5@96mph with a one wheel peel...now it has alot more stuff done and it both tires will grip now...still miss the 6speed set up i had...oh well...this one is getting a ls1/6spd

man that IROC looks nice. makes me miss mine back in NY, hopefully i will be able to bring it down to PA next spring. maybe i'll have enough money to get it painted too (sucks being a poor college student). good luck fixing that thing up!

 

I have a set of louvers also, but they have some broken studs on the back, I also have an iroc grille I can part with since i've decided to go with the billet grille.

 

Lookn great, I like the black paint w/ gold wheels. How many miles did it have? I paid 2500 for my 89 IROC but it had over 100K miles and the paint was jacked. Your paint looks pretty good.

 

my cars only got 71k on it! i got it cheap because the guy that had it got it for 800 bucks. part of a building fell on it (due to snow) he put in a windshield, hood, front end (notice the grille?) and passenger side fender. he was gonna give it to his son but it was 2 expensive for insurence since his son had a dui recently. his loss my gain.
