US Body Ram Air II Hood..

Fit: Pretty good, a little off in some places, but all around, not too bad.

Looks: Looks pretty bad *** , gotten lots of looks from other people, lots like it, some hate it. Same with everything.

Customer Service: BLAH! POS company, POS quality. Hood was Cracked and warped, had to practically redo it all.

Here's a pic

I have a ASCD SS hood... pictures of the hood can be seen at www.americansportscar.com They are awesome hoods and great quality. Great fit, it rocks. I would totally recomend it.
BTW, Sonar, I don't like the way the hood looks at all... just my .02

Actually, I do belive that! I dunno, it me it kinda looks like there are two holes in the forehead of your Camaro, but in real life I bet it does look better, but I don't think it will ever look as good as the ASCD SS hood for the Camaro, but I think it looks better then the Cervini's ram air hood, which is another option for you, RARE-ROC. www.cervinis.com Its like on page 22 of their on-line catalog or somewhere around there. Some people like it, I never did.
BTW, also, ROC, if you want some more ASCD SS hood pictures then the one on the ASCD website I'll be happy to send you a few.

RS

ASCD big block hood. Very good quality and customer service. Hood came in in great shape and fits good. Only had to sand one part( about a quater size space). Lots of compliments. Click on the links to see. I installed in about 30 min. by myself.

I have heard LOTS of good things about ASCD, I doubt you could go wrong there.

Mine has the stock hood, but I really like the SS style hood from ASCD. Do ASCD hoods come painted or do I have to get that done? Anyone have a pic of their car with the SS style hood? I've seen the one on the ASCD site, but wanna see others.
As for the ram air hood, I'm glad I saw your pic cause I was considring it but that changed my mind. Its not too bad, but just doesnt go with the boxeyness (sp?) of the third gen which I love. Good luck.

I am having hell of a time posting pics, but you can see some pics of a goodmark steel hood finished on my car at http://in.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/canada/80/ In my opinion, it is very nice, and it fit like the stock hood. If you go to the bottom of my page and click on the link "more camaro pics", you can check out another teal camaro with the ascd bigblock hood. My friend said the body shop told him it was a bi*ch to install because it was wavy and out of square a bit, so i guess ascd isn't perfect.

I have a ASCD big block hood and I love it. Fits great. No ajustments needed. nothing broken when I got it. I get compliments all the time. I love it. Someday if I ever get a different camaro I won't even think about a different company I'll go straight to them for another. I highly recomend that you buy your hood from them. I would post some pics but I don't know how.

Your car looks sweet!!!!
Did you have to do anything to your hood or did you just paint it?

I had to shim the front latch a little but nothing big. I had alot of re-working to do since they sent me nothing but rough edges.

How'd you guys go about cutting out the intake? Did you just use a dremmel? I love that SS hood, but the big block is pretty killer too. Also, when did you order them? I've heard a lot about ASCD having quality issues lately.

ok i like that GOODMARK steel hood. but i still have some questions.
is there a really big difference between steel and fiberglass.. which would be better. and i am not going for the whole lose weight scheme. i just want the body to be perfect. it will be a street/show car in about 2 yrs. thanks all. and tell me some about the preperation it takes for each hood. thanks again.
