"City Lights" On my Xenon-style headlight conversion...
Hey, I just got these bulbs here, and they have "city lights" with a positive and a ground wire coming out the back. Where do these hook up? Do I tie it in to the parking lights so they're always on, or do I tie them into a switch? Here's the auction, and I'm referring to the little blue bulb at the bottom, thanks

as far as I know those blue lights are illegal (show or offroad use only) so you'll want to run those on a switch so you can turn them on and off as you wish.

Blue city lites will get you harrassed by both cops and the "rlce police".
I used amber city lites on the inside set of lights and alarm strobes on the outside set. You can wire them to flash with the parking lites, but I would just wire up a on/off switch.

Ok, I wired it into the parking lights, so what it does is illuminate the bulb fixture blue when on, but it doesn't put out any forward light. It looks cool, and when the headlights are all the way on it doesn't effect anything so it works out.
and upon research, it looks like city lights are used in Europe and places with huge brightly lit citys. The point is to light up the headlight fixture without permitting any directional light, since the streets are so lit up with building and street lights, the city lights are just used to more easily identify/see cars at night.
