trans am hood question

Car: 1991 pontiac firebird
Engine: 305 V8 flo-pro exhaust
Transmission: automatic 700r4 4speed
Axle/Gears: stock 2.73's :(
trans am hood question
i was thiniking of gettin one of the ram air hoods but latly the trans am hood has been lookin pretty good and it has grown on me now i was wondering is the trans am hood basically the stock firebird hood with just the air extractors or is it more than that ?? because if it is ill just buy the air extractors and put them on

for the most part - yes
From what I've read and seen, the TransAm hood was originially intended to actually remove hot air from the engine compartment. If you look under the thick black heat shield you'll see what are channels in the hood that go from the front vents to the side vents. These look to be non-functional however.
So yes. Just buy the vents/louvers and install them.
