Whose Car is this?

On October 2 in Fort Dodge Iowa there was a big car show and ther were a lot of cars there. I know I have seen pics of this car before and I am just curious to know if it belongs to anyone on here. Here is the pic of the car.

Let me know if anyone knows who's car this is.

Sidepipes can look nice, but only when properly applied. That had to get a wreadkneck lift in order to fit those pipes under. Maybe it he had some bigger wheels (substantially bigger) to accomodate for the lift, it may not look as bad. That guy needs GFX in the front and rear atleast.

IMO, the only car that looks cool with side pipes are 68-72 Corvettes.... I just don't think they suit 3rd gens. A buddy of mine told me to put some on my 88 Firebird a few years ago... I smacked him in the back of the head and said no way LOL

I would have to kind of disagree with you. The corvette isn't the only car that looks good with side pipes. The 92-94 dodge viper rt-10 looks awesome with side pipes. Just my opinion though.

It seems that I am suit to eat my own words. I thought I could find a good application of side pipes on a TG in my gallery but I am coming up short. Does any one have any other examples of sidepipes well suited to our vehicles or any pictures of them at all ?

i dont have a pic, but i remember seeing a 91-92 Z28 with sidepipes in SuperChevy a couple of years ago. The pipes were under the GFX. The car was blue and it was taken with the car over railroad tracks.. anyone seen it?

The only car I ever liked with anything remotely similar to sidepipes was CarNDrivr's car, the blue Z28. I didnt think his looked too bad because they were tucked under the car, not sticking out. I'm not a fan of sidepipes because I think it draws all the attention away from the car and puts it on the sidepipes. Some cars that came stock with sidepipes didnt have this problem because, well, all those cars had sidepipes. But when you take a car that didnt have sidepipes and you add them, it really stands out. I tried really hard to find that pic of the car with the bigrig 18 wheeler sidepipes aimed at the sky, couldnt find it. My search skills are failing me ....

that wouldnt be sidepipes then, just side exits. Just normal exhaust that is routed to exit right before the rear tires on each side... hell, they make kits u can buy in summit for that... SUM-CBJJ105 just as an example

I don't understand Knight Rider Conversions.

I love TAs. My first car was a GTA. But still...that car looks like a ****** mobile.

And wide tires in the back, definetly not helping the third gen rep as a car driven by backwards trailer dwelling hicks.

i'm all for wide-*** rubber in the back, it just needs to be tucked.. i.e., no tires sticking out (see Louis' thirdgen)

I am going to have to agree. Between the rear lift, ugly sidepipes, and wheels off some random pick em' up truck (see rear offset), the car looks like a red neck wonder rocket.

You should stop being friends with him. Just go up to him and tell him very nicely...."Your killing off my chances of meeting women..."

Cant say ive ever been keen on sidepipes.
Only an option if no other exhaust system was available on the planet.

I havent seen one before, but just thinking about it, I dont think a 2nd gen would look too bad with them....Im not a big fan of them either, esp. for thirdgens, but I think a side exit incorporated into the gfx (say like by using 4th gen tips to mesh in with it), that would look good.

Wow, I think I've seen that first car in the Walmart parking lot. In fact the driver wore a Whitesnake t-shirt, lol.

Oh yeah, Shelby Cobra with sidepipes....make that #4.

i would like to see a viper/vette style on a thirdgen.. like, incorporated into the ground effects.. do the rockers serve any other use other than structural integrity? would be neat if someone modified the rockers and was able to have the sidepipes hidden except for the exits.. and keep some relatively good ground clearance. something like this (really bad ms paint)

Incorporated side exit exhaust is very classy in my opinion. As long as you can make mods that do not stand out like duct tape or neon underglow, your probably doing ok.

Funny how every car guy, american or otherwise, runs the risk of r i c i n g out his ride. Or for us, ******ing his ride.
