Ram Air Hood and Airbox
Will the air boxes sold from ramairhood.com fit the ascd ram air hoods? anyone tried this? I just like the look of the ASCD hoods but want a functional airbox to go with it.

With all the different engines available during the third gen years, we never made a air box to work with our hood design. I fiquered the customer would , could work that out by beening creative. Rex

Rex - comparable boxes made for other hoods sell for big money - and then have to be modified to work with the ASCD RamAir 1 hood. From what I've seen, although there are many different engines in our thirdgens, any car equipped with the RamAir 2 hood (also one sold by ASCD) can use the box built for it with no problems (assuming it is some form of TPI or MPFI). If ASCD were to create a box (heck just modify the existing one the way Winnipeg did) that fit the ASCD RA1 hood, I'm sure there would be ALOT of happy hood owners trying to buy one.
Just my 2 cents. I assume this may fall on deaf ears, however - as alot of the reason why there is a box for the RA2 hood has to do with Camaro owners also being able to use them for that version of the RA2 hood, and there are alot more camaros out there than birds. That and the design was already out there with the suncoast hood.
Let me know if and when you decide to make a box for the RA1 hood and I'll buy one.

Hey can you send me a pic of the modded box that winnipeg did that might give me some ideas. I have a 92 z28 setting in one of my building that I could take a good look at and work with something.Rex
