solar wing
hey thirdgen owners,
i was thinking of buying a solar wing for the back hatch of my car but i cant seem to find any pics of them on our cars.
If anyone has a pic of them on there 3rd gen please post so i can get an idea if its worth getting or not.
thanks

i would guess it is a wing with a solar panel on it that you could use to power some accessories or something. they did something like that on pimp my ride one time.

I'm really suprised that the people that don't like them are in the minority so far in this thread. I don't care for the rear window louvres, and this is like a rear window louvre that isn't finished, so it's just that much worse. Don't do it, these cars look great without them.

it keeps the sun off the tops of the rear seats from what i'm to understand, but it seems that tinting the windows would be a better way to accomplish the no-fade on the rear seats.

I loved it when I first saw it but after I installed it on the car I slowly started to hate it. I think this spring it is going to come off.........

i know what it does
1. compliments your dice and car bra
2. helps further destroy aero dynamics
3. ruins the good looks of the back of a thirdgen
4. takes attention off of your mull-it
i kid. i would never want one, but if it is your thing thats cool.

i took my third brake light off today. those holes can be filled with two more of those caps on the side of the hatch. look at tuneport335's pics. he did it, its where i got the idea. so much better now.

again, check out tuneport335's car. he did it. you know how there are two black circles on each side of the hatch glass at the top corners. there are two of those exact holes in the middle with the same exact spacing.
just look for it, youll know what im talking about.

I wonder if u could use the solar wing with a notchback and what it would look like... I think it would be VERY interesting.
