You should change out that air cleaner. Otherwise it looks good. Those air cleaners have a tendency to break down (the foam) and cause problems.

yeah a couple people told me that

i have the Ram Air II hood, do you think it would be wroth it to buy the air cleaner and piece that goes directly into the holes into the ram air so the air is direct into the carburetor? it is 200 shipped

i think it needs a little clean up of the wires. they all look liek they go every where. need to be a little bit organized

but the engine itself looks real good

If your carb backfires, it will melt the foam in that air cleaner and the foam will fall down into the carb and **** everything up

other than that looks awsome

wish I had a good engine .....but to make valid on this post, I have the raII hood too...though our setups are different, I have the K&n xtreme assembly (open element filter with the filter top as well)....of course I didnt experience 15+ hp gains..wooooooo, but it is a good alternative, and it changed the tone of my car at WOT, so I know my carb is getting more air

im gonna re-route the plug wires by the valve covers, and take wire looms off the fuel line and pcv valve, should look better then.

camaroguy, k&n open assembly, does that have a piece going going the breather right to the holes in the ram air, thats what im looking for

Looks really nice. I think the red wire loom makes the wires stand out too much though, I'd rather wrap them in black to hide them.

May I ask where you got the Twisted Wedge heads? I didn't think they made them for the SBC anymore.

purchased them from someone who already owned them, blew his motor, so i took these off of him, and they are polished, so thats a bonus.
