Hello all.

First i would like to start off with saying how much of a kick *$$ site this is, and how much i enjoy reading all the messages.

Now, I am 15, about to get my liscense. I have been a Cam fan since i can remember, and i have already decided on getting a 305 5 speed 91/92 RS. I need the car to look good and run good as my priority. My question is this..

Which color looks the best, Can you have racing stripes with a Cowl hood, and please leave some pictures of camaros with stripes, cowl hoods, nice colors, etc.

also if you could list a few cheap, but very noticeable mods that would help alot! THX!

Welcome aboard... For your first mods, you may want to get an aftermarket cat-back exhaust. It replaces the stock exhaust from the catalytic converter back, and allows the engine to breath better. It should be worth a good 10hp. For other stuff, check out the 'Ultimate TBI' mods in the tech article section of this site.

And one other thing... as a former Camaro owner, the correct slang for Camaro is 'Maro'. 'Cam' sounds like you are referring to the engine's cam, or camshaft.

lol thx,

can you think of any nice color schemes off the top of your head? I was thinking just a bright red with a Cowl, or maybe a canary yellow with a black cowl...

ideas?

Anyone know know how much Cowls cost, and if a v6 RS TPI has enough power to entertain a power hungry teenager?

They never made RSs with TPI, except for the rare B4C police pursuit cars. If you get a V8 RS, it will have TBI. A V6 RS will have multiport fuel injection, or MPFI. If you are 15, it will have plenty of power. I started with a V6 Camaro, which was definately the route to take. I would have more than likely wrapped a TPI car had I started with one. A V6 Camaro is a good place to start from.. in fact I was your age when I got mine. I was 15, almost 16.

a 305 is not a v6 just to let you know. Im not sure if you know that because from the sounds of your posts it sounds like you though a 305 is a v6. If a 305 was their worst mistake, a v6 would be even worse. 305 stock isnt great, but it will beat a v6.

Keep in mind you are only 15 wait unyil you get experience and more money. I am 17 I speak from experience, I have had two 305s and for youngins like us that is enough power. You an always drop in an 350 in three years
